It seems you already found issue on repo

It seems code has some mistake and you may have to wait for new version with fix.

Or you may use older version. It works for me with 0.0.70 but not 0.0.71,0.0.72, 0.0.73

pip install --upgrade quantstats==0.0.70

As @DameSkytower informed in comment problem was send to author and he created new version 0.0.74 which finally resolved this problem.
