Product Positioning & Context

HotSchedules is the industry's leading employee scheduling app because it’s the fastest and easiest way to manage your schedule and communicate with your team.

Team members love it because they can swap, pick-up or release shifts with one click. Work-life balance is easily managed with automatic shift pick ups when you want more hours, and time off requests for when you don’t. Calendar sync and notifications keep your Schedules and the roster automatically updated to your phone with any manager-approved changes.

Managers appreciate the 75% time savings when building schedules and one-click approvals for shift changes. The ability to monitor business performance with sales and labor snapshots from anywhere, keeps them out of the back office. And most importantly, staying connected with broadcast and one-to-one messaging makes for a happy and productive team culture.

NOTE: The HotSchedules application REQUIRES a valid HotSchedules user account through your employer.

How do I see my hours worked. Upgrade on android, I can’t see it anymore. Android and Apple phone. Why do I have to pay on each device. Using my same account. I already feel like job getting over, now you helping them

The app works great and it’s easy to use and navigate, but can we bring dark mode? I saw it happen for like a while but it got taken away. Dark mode would be nice to have.

Honestly I’ve had this app for years. I recommend it to anyone to purchase the app when starting a job using it. Way better than the web page. The only thing I ask is can you guys figure out a way to access multiple accounts without the need to log in/log out!!! Please!!

As a manager, I used to be able to keep the app open to the shift log page throughout a shift, making it easy to jot notes in the moment. Now, even with the app remaining open, it constantly refreshes back to the home screen, meaning I lose all my notes. Only option is to constantly copy them so I can paste all the notes up to that point when the app refreshes. Very frustrating.

i have always loved the feature of the widgets to give me a look at my schedule without having to open the app, especially from my locked phone. ever since the update widgets have disappeared and there’s a blank box where they used to be. please bring widgets back!! 😭😭

edit: widgets are back thank you!

It’s an ok app. Looking at whose scheduled is a joke tho. The AM and PM buttons need to go. Just have the dates and when you click it, the entire day pops up. Some AM shifts pop up in the PM it’s not accurate. And also when you submit availability there’s GOTTA be some simpler way. Yall really just said “let’s make this as inconvenient as possible” please give receipts on availability requests too. My boss accused me of not submitting availability so I went to screenshot it but there was no date or time on when I submitted it. Please make it employee friendly, I’ve heard it works good on the scheduling side. But it sure doesn’t work well if you’re the one being scheduled.

The scheduling is good, but there’s no option to change the layout to dark mode.

Updated: App STILLLLLLL has connection issues. Laggy. Requires login every other use. Feel like it should be more reliable for a paid app. DEVS DO NOT CARE TO FIX IT
