Buggy and unreliable

The UKG Pro app promises efficiency, reliability, and ease of use for employees and organizations. In practice, it delivers the opposite. After extended use, it becomes clear that the app struggles at a basic level to perform its core functions well. It feels unfinished, inconsistent, and frustrating in ways that disrupt daily workflows rather than support them. The most persistent issue is reliability. The app frequently fails to maintain saved settings. You can take the time to configure preferences, enable trusted devices, and adjust login options, only to be forced back through the same verification process again and again. This is not a rare glitch. It is a recurring pattern. You end up verifying your identity far more often than necessary, which defeats the purpose of saving settings in the first place. Over time, this creates friction that slows down even the simplest tasks, like checking pay stubs or submitting time off. Speed is another major problem. The app feels sluggish almost every time it is opened. Pages take too long to load. Buttons lag before responding. Sometimes the screen freezes entirely, requiring a restart. In a workplace setting, time matters. Employees often need quick access to information between tasks. Instead, you are left waiting on spinning icons and delayed responses. It breaks focus and adds unnecessary stress to routine actions. The overall design adds to the frustration. The interface is clunky and unintuitive. Navigation does not flow naturally. Features are buried under multiple layers of menus that do not always make sense. Tasks that should take one or two taps often require several steps. There is no clear logic guiding the layout, which forces users to rely on trial and error. For an app designed to support productivity, it creates more confusion than clarity. Even when you learn where things are, consistency becomes another issue. Screens behave differently from one section to another. Some pages respond quickly, while others lag. Some buttons work as expected, while others seem unresponsive or delayed. This lack of consistency makes the app feel unstable. You never fully trust that it will work the way it should when you need it. The login and authentication experience deserves special attention because it is one of the most frustrating aspects of the app. Despite enabling features that should reduce repeated logins, the app continues to prompt for verification. It feels like the system does not remember prior approvals. This results in repeated interruptions, especially when accessing the app multiple times a day. Instead of a smooth experience, you are met with constant barriers. Error handling is also weak. When something goes wrong, the app often provides little to no explanation. You may see a vague error message or none at all. This leaves you guessing about what happened and how to fix it. Should you restart the app? Log out and back in? Wait and try again later? The lack of clear feedback wastes time and increases frustration. Another concern is stability across updates. Updates should improve performance and fix issues. Instead, they often introduce new problems or fail to resolve existing ones. Bugs linger longer than expected. Basic issues, like slow loading or repeated verification prompts, continue across versions. This raises questions about quality control and testing before releases. From a user experience standpoint, the app does not respect the user’s time. Every delay, every repeated login, and every confusing navigation path adds up. What should be a quick interaction becomes a drawn-out process. Over time, this erodes confidence in the app. Users begin to expect problems rather than smooth performance. In a workplace context, tools like this should reduce friction and support employees in their daily responsibilities. Instead, this app adds friction. It turns simple tasks into frustrating experiences. Whether you are checking your schedule, reviewing pay information, or updating personal details, the process feels harder than it should be. There is a solid idea behind the app. A centralized place for workforce management is valuable. But execution matters. Right now, the execution falls short. Until the issues with reliability, speed, and usability are addressed, the app will continue to frustrate more than it helps. If you rely on this app daily, you will likely find yourself repeating the same thought: this should be easier than it is.
