The best companion apps use roleplay scenarios to keep conversations fresh, and the same principle applies here, except the goal is fluency instead of entertainment.One thing that matters a lot in conversational AI is how the app handles user mistakes. In companion apps, the AI almost always goes along with whatever you say. For language learning, you need the opposite: the AI needs to correct you without killing the flow of conversation.
