I’ve been using Flo on and off since I was a teenager. I’ve tried others, and keep coming back. The main reason I keep leaving is because I cannot handle the constant ads for premium. It truly drives be bonkers having to x out of up to 3-4 premium ads and ‘offers’ just to get to the core function of the app. I’m happy with the basic function, and if I wanted premium I would have bought it the first 100 times it was offered to me. I’m honestly thinking about leaving the app again because I don’t even want to open it anymore.

I’ve used this app for years, and I canceled my subscription because of the obscene amount of pop ups. It’s like browsing the web in 2003 amount of pop ups. The free version has less pop ups. But I wish the app developers would add a toggle to turn them off. They are so incredibly annoying.

Edit: the app developers seem to think the free version is what I was complaining about. It’s the paid version that I am complaining about. The free version has less pop ups and is less annoying to use.

Ok. So I am one of those people who thinks that this is a good tool for tracking my cycle without having to use an old fashioned calendar like I used to. I have been using this app for years… and I mean years without fail and no problems, however about a month ago it kept crashing on me and wouldn’t load at all. I tried using it for several days. Tried seeing if there was an update, tried using the App Store, turned off my phone…. several people said just to just delete the app and reinstall it. Well, after much hesitation that is what happened… and I lost all of my data… YEARS of tracking my data is now gone. I’m going through perimenopause, so I’m starting to track all over again. If I had to maybe log into my account again it would have kept my data. I was so disappointed. I would also suggest maybe having a teen version for my daughter who has just started her cycle.

The cycle tracking is fine, but the CONSTANT pop ups trying to get me to buy premium are infuriating and make the app not worth the hassle. Other than cycle tracking, everything else is hidden behind a paywall that you will constantly be dry begged for. Annoying.

Edited to add: they responded to this review by sending me a paragraph dry begging me to subscribe to premium. Very tone deaf.

This is an app designed not for women
Why so many subscriptions? • Apr 3, 2026 ★ 3
I wish that not almost everything you have to pay for. It makes you go through this long process just to figure out that you have to pay for most of it. I was really excited about this cause it seemed to me like they were actually gonna take good care of me. I enjoy the intimacy of Flo, but not everybody can pay for a subscription.

it is a very very good period tracker and i love that you can communicate with other girls/women that are going through the same stuff as you! the only downside is the chatting part. o love being able to talk to my girls and seeing what they do during the day, but recently, when i post and there’s nothing showing in the flo safety terms in the picture, the still delete it!! please please please flo fix it!! other than that, wonderful app!

i have 4 other pregnancy tracker apps that provide information for free, why would i want to pay $15 a month for this one? it literally tells me nothing unless i pay for it. zero information whatsoever. useless.

This app would be very helpful, but they charge me for everything try and make me pay for everything,I can’t even learn things without them trying to make me pay,so I had to switch to stardust

This app is great and it helps me keep track of my period and my body pretty well. However, I hate that to get certain information you have to have premium. Honestly been using this app for a long time. It helped me realize I was pregnant with my son. It’s a solid tracker.

I loved the app then the formatting for the app started being really weird and now it is hard to do anything on the app because it seems to not take the whole screen and had black headers and footers almost. Please fix!

I don’t like how it forces you to upgrade every time you open the app.
im not having a fun time rn • Apr 2, 2026 ★ 1
If you want any info or any insight into your cycles or anything like that, you have to pay for a subscription. Do not download.

EDIT: they sent me an email telling me there are free things on the app??? Like yeah, I know, but none of the special info chats that they advertise so much?? The only free things are the period tracker (which is the whole point of the app) and some dumb anonymous chat that’s just used as social media. again, DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Too many ads

The day your period is supposed to start and it doesn’t it always moves it a day back saying “unless it starts today” when it was supposed to start 2/3 days ago so you wouldn’t even know your late

I’ve used this app for several years and it used to be amazing, now it’s impossible to open without being bombarded by ads (that you can’t exit out of until you “accept” the promo!).

I’ve had irregular periods over the past few months and no changes or insights whatsoever were ever noted by the app, which is such a bummer that not even my period app could detect something was wrong. If not for my years and years of data already embedded, I’d use a different app.

I used to love flo, but the last few years I’ve really hated using it. I log in just long enough to log the first day of my period and then I don’t log in again until next time or if for some reason I need to have an idea of when to expect my next one. Every time I open the app they’re trying to sell me a subscription. And I can’t just hit an x to get rid of it, I have to say I accept the offer and only then does the x appear for me to get rid of the add.
