Update: Today I have received 56 notifications on my iPhone and iPad from my Video Doorbell V2 of a package...THE SAME PACKAGE, that HAS NOT MOVED.

Please remove the recently added small red indicator dots on: Account🔴 > Wyze Intelligence🔴 > Video Search🔴 & Description Alert🔴. I have tried Cam Unlimited Pro and HATED IT. It was extremely annoying, but that is not my problem right now. My point is that these indicators were not programmed correctly. When an app has dots like these to highlight something new, they are normally supposed to automatically dismiss when a user opens the item being indicated to view it for the first time. These do not. They remain there no matter how many times a user taps on the item. I do not know if they go away if one purchases the service or not, but choice to purchase or not SHOULD BE IRRELEVANT. Simply viewing the item once should dismiss the indications PERIOD.
There are quite a lot of questionable decisions I could note on, but the I leave you with only one other right now: I hate fisheye. My opinion is that it is distortion. Personally I never would have made any cameras with wide-angel lenses, but I would not be opposed if they were sold along side non-wide angle cameras. ***HIGHLY ADVISE AND REQUEST*** All future cameras should be available in BOTH wide angle and ***non-wide angle*** versions. You only have one camera that is ok at it and that's the OG Telephoto. That has it's own issue in that should have had OPTICAL zoom, not a fixed static zoom. In fact I have no idea why no Wyze cameras have it at all. Optical zoom is superior to digital. GET ON THAT. People will pay a little more for better, but you have to OFFER better. The latter part of this review isn't about the app, so apologies to fellow app users who may be reading this, but I am going to leave my request everywhere I can to get company attention. Please forward this to your top levels!

What is the point of a deadbolt lock that can’t be replaced? Bought a house with one of their locks on and it started locking me out. Had to call a locksmith because there’s no key to manually open it. Tried resetting it per the manual. Didn’t work. Tried calling in, was told only the original owner could change the code. So after calling a
Locksmith to get in, I called in to get some answers, was met with a $5 store credit. Wasted no time getting a different lock from a different company. So if you’re the original owner you’re probably fine. If you’re not then you’re SOL but here’s $5.

I would give it -5 stars if I could. It is always offline. So unreliable. Other items that are connected to the same internet work. A total waste of money.

For those of you who get products right out of the box that hook up to the app and Wyze cloud with no issue, I’ll bet your experience will be great. BUT IF YOU ARE LIKE ME…. and need any type of technical help when basic troubleshooting steps do not resolve issues GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. Getting support from customer service is an unfunny joke.

Multiple clicks/taps for basic controls/their visibility. Example- to enable/disable sprinkler schedule- go to wyze->sprinkler->settings->schedule->slider. No indication on main page whether it is enabled or not.

For whatever reason, Wyze thinks they are fancy and tried to apply a cinema “fade dim” effect to the top and bottom of your home surveillance footage. Now the black faded bars don’t go away during playback. Just remove that feature all together. It’s stupid and should have never been included anyway, now it’s a problem. Wyze, in general, is one step forward, 2 steps backward.

You may not be old enough to remember when things worked not only for a day, but for years without tweaking, without troubleshooting, without reinstalling and pulling your hair out.
Now we’re at the mercy of constant updates, constant bugs, and the push to put AI in our lives even though many of us have no interest in it. And why would that be? Perhaps we are tired of being told how these devices will save us time and make our lives easier. It’s a bad joke.
Nobody will stop putting out new versions of operating systems or new devices that do nothing ultimately to take the worry out of our lives. In fact, they have created a frenzied society that is staring at screens and unable to keep their devices working as promised. Worse yet, we have accepted it and rationalized it as part of the way the system has to be. We allow ourselves to be beta testers and think of it as perfectly normal.
Wyze is just one small tentacle of this mess trying to keep pace with the larger corporate offenders, who dangle us like puppets on a string. It is no wonder to me that what worked yesterday no longer works today.

Will I be grateful when this is figured out by whoever is the source of the problem? The answer is NO because I know it will repeat over and over again. And for me, the hardest part of this to accept is that I have become accustomed to having these devices in my life. And in some ways, I do not feel safe without them. This is just a sad state of affairs and honestly it’s just depressing.

Used to enjoy this product and app until the morning I accidentally turned on the freaking CAR ALARM FEATURE which made the camera blare bleat and blast a panicked alarm noise scaring my child awake. 0/10 getting a ring camera.

Not enough time to write all the negatives. Needless to say ALL of the Wyze equipment went the garbage can today. Every last piece . Absolute junk.
At least it was easy to delete my account within five minutes. Just horrible design.
