I guess they updated the app and I have lost all my saved meditations. It is hard for me to find ones I like and now I have lost them all. I use them to go to sleep and the last thing I want to do while trying to relax before bed is sort through them trying to find something. Super annoying

Been using this since it came out as a simple meditation timer.
It’s basically useless at this point for that purpose, takes like over a minute to click through all the ads and notification requests and whatnot every time I go to use it
Incredibly bad vibes for a “calming” app

The content is great but the app will nag you incessantly and there is no way to turn off the questions. I’m surprised the rating is so high

Hands down the best and most versatile meditation app. The only
Detractor is the gamified tracker and I actually got mad about losing a 95 day streak. It incentivizes lying to yourself about your daily track record.
That is the only flaw. This app changed meditation for me!

Though there are still many free and useful resources on this app, I find a lot of things are hidden behind a paywall and the app has really tried to gamify meditation. They prompt you to share your stats and track all the time you meditate. Feels like a step away from the intention.

I JUST want to use the timer, not commit to a curated program or be trapped in a loop trying to trick me into a plus subscription when I reopen the app

NONE of the meditations are free! My saved meditations I’ve listened to before only allow for a short preview. There is not a filter for free meditations in the search menu. Very disappointed and not the app I remember

I absolutely love and recommend this app for anyone. The meditations, talks, and classes truly heal the soul. With so many teachers and teaching styles available there’s something here for everyone to heal their bodies, to calm their minds, and to relieve stress. It is well designed for you to find your tribe.

Generally, I love Insight Timer. The amount and quality of free meditation recordings are amazing, and there’s a ton of value available without having to subscribe to their Plus version.
However in their most recent update, they removed the ability to restart a meditation from the beginning without being a Plus member. Prior to this, only Plus members could fast forward or rewind meditations - fine, no problem. But I have a tendency to jump out of a meditation before it’s complete and then will return to it on another day to use it again, and historically had the option to play from where I left off or “restart”. The restart feature is suddenly gone, which means that most of the meditations I’ve loved and used before are now essentially useless to me unless I want to listen from 3/4 through - which I don’t.
So I’m likely leaving Insight Timer for YouTube where my favorite practitioners are also sharing free content. I’d much rather stay with IT though. Fingers crossed it wasn’t intentional as a means to drive more people to Plus (or in my case, away from the app altogether) and is a bug they’ll realize needs fixing.

Sometimes I simply need to set my calming, mindful, present, and relaxing intention for the day. Other times I need to listen to someone who can bring me back to a more peaceful state. Other times, I just want to sit in quiet surroundings and listen to my Insight timer to soothe my busy brain. Whatever I need for my day, Insight Timer has just what I need. Thank you to all who are involved in making each day better for me.

This app is amazing, and it has really helped my life in so many ways… breathing tracks for anxiety, yoga nidra for sleep, and daily meditation to get my day off to a good start! I recommend it for anyone who wants to take steps to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing!!

Helps me stay accountable with my daily meditation. Really like the design of the app! Even the free version is suitable for simple timer needs

I have really bad anxiety at times and this year it got very very bad especially earlier this year, even went a bit manic (which I will NOT get into, it’s personal, but I added it to give small detail), some of these teachers really helped me sleep when my anxiety was at an all high, close to throwing up because of it, my father is the one who got me into it, so i recommend it, too.

When my wife left me just over nine months ago, I felt that I completely lost my identity in life and my purpose for being here. Insight Timer app, and all the tools within that I have experienced so far have helped me tremendously to refine my identity and to regain my purpose through clarity and love and understanding.

Insight Timer has been in my life forever but I truly started using it more recently and it has completely changed my life in the best way possible. Easy to navigate, to the tea, all the creators are amazing. Thank you

I love this app. It’s simple to use. I really enjoy being able to use the timer and customize it to what I want that day. The guided options are also great!
I took off a star because it seems like the gratitude wall has been removed. I thoroughly enjoyed that part of the app. I loved being able to look at what other people are grateful for and to share my own. If that could be added back, I’d be so happy. Grateful, one could even say.

The Insight Timer allows you to have access to so many unique and helpful meditations, mantras, music, courses, talks, and so much more. If you allow it to, this app can truly change your life and the way you view the world and go about existing in this universe. It helps you grow spiritually and mentally as a human being and find peace and joy in all things.

Great app overall especially all the free exercises. I pay for the yearly subscription as I value some of the teachers, but the fact that they’re keeping it free and their subscription cost down by scraping all your data without you knowing it is unconscionable. Yes, they are required to mention this in the description, but I suspect most people never read or understand what this means.

Shame on the developers for trying to great a subscription model for a MEDITATION. TIMER. IT'S A CHILL CLOCK, GANG. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO OURSELVES.
