Focusing on a User-Friendly Layout, the Journeyman will continue to grow as more areas are developed and will be released as FREE Updates.
Besides just producing the numbers you desire, the Journeyman illustrates certain theories while trying to educate users not familiar with these concepts. This training concept will be continued as the app grows.

NOTE:
We suggest to periodically turn your device off and let it clear any stranded memory. The app will load every time after doing this small step.

Every thing is available that you should need for reference needs as a machinist to a point only thing it doesn’t have that I have to go elsewhere for is metric thread information.

I’ve been using this app since the creation of it. I use it everyday and show it to all my customers. I’ve been selling carbide since 1988 and have covered the Bay Area and Central Valley in California for Mitsubishi Carbide cutting tools for the past 17-1/2 years. It’s very simple and user friendly. Years ago I used an app on my old palm pilot called “Machinist”. I wish these 2 would get together and create one together. “Machinist” was amazing and had a materials data base and would allow you to input the machine data such as rapids, horse power, etc.. so when calculating drilling cycle times it would allow input for distance between the holes. Keep up the great work and thanks for the app!!

I really like the app and use it often.
It would be really nice if you could add cycle times to the drilling section.

Using new IOS 10. When right triangle solver is used to calculate. It will take the first known with a decimal point. However when you put the second number in with a decimal it closes the app???
Bilbo da Hobbit • Oct 1, 2016
Needs update crashes when adding decimal places to more than one place otherwise it works great

I am an application rep for a company that sells round tools and indexable. Works perfect!
Peacer99 • Oct 31, 2013
Good app but for $10 they should also include the metric calculations.
Cmm guy • Sep 25, 2012
They have fixed the issues from the last update. I will happily recommend this app to anyone.

Love this app! You should add a thread turning calculator for all threads (acme, round, exc) with min/max/pitch dia ref, internal and external. Also a ball mill scalop height calculator would be awesome. Great app!!!

Why should I have to go through up front advertisement on an ap that I paid for?! Not smart!
dp357sig • Aug 12, 2012
I use this app a lot. The UI dose need work. To many taps to get to things. Screw size is just one scroll wheel which is inefficient almost useless. The worst part is when you open the app there is a splash screen . I debated giving it three stars just because of it. GET RID OF THE SPLASH SCREEN!

Very handy app. Beats digging out the machinist handbook. I would like to see more calculations such as being able to calculate coordinates for milling internal hexagons on the flats and/or across corners.

I will not pitch this to my customers any longer due to blatant distributor advertisement. Go back to a home screen that I will be happy to share.

Not happy that I paid for this app and they are putting a paid advertisement from a distributor.

Great app.
Putting in over wires and some heat treating would be nice. If you could make it more like a electric machinist guide I could throw some of the old versions out.

This guy really made a user friendly app with almost everything you could possibly think of having. GREAT WORK!
Tmc_31 • Apr 28, 2012
Great little program, I use it because it's always in my pocket. I wish the developers would add a materials database with recommended speeds and feeds for hss and carbide.
Brad Morris • Mar 6, 2012
One of the best machinist tools I have. Just as important to me as a good indicator. Could probably use small graphical interface enhancements, but that is nitpicking. Easily worth the $10!
Myjoe67 • Dec 20, 2011
I have used this App for over a year now and am still happy I spent the money.... I've looked at many others, but this one is my "Go To" app... Thanks Jim for putting it together... I have appreciated all the updates, but the one I keep hoping for is a Chord Calculation. Maybe someday... :-)

3 wire measurements for threading would be an awesome addition :)
