First, this app is an advertising platform, not a user-personalized learning platform. Just another joke of big tech.
Second, I had to demand a refund from apple because this app isn’t giving me the purchase I paid for (a specific course). Unusable garbage app. Such a joke. And there isn’t a way to easily access your desired course or the courses you’ve paid for. Advertising scum app.

Purchased a course on the website. At first, the course never showed up on the app. I eventually learned that I had to log out and log back in for it would show up. The course opens and plays, but then there is no audio so I can’t even watch the course.

Totally broken for no reason. Useless app made by people who don’t use it and probably don’t even know what Udemy is…typical.

Lots bugs. For example, sometimes when I open a course, the profile of the educator opens without being tapped and it repeatedly opens several times by itself, locking me out of control of the app until it stops glitching and then I have to close the profile several times again just to return to where I was. There doesn’t seem to to be cart where I can add courses like on the web version, disappointing. Other than that, this is a great platform to use and I hope that Udemy continues to improve the app.

The platform is extremely glitchy. I was trying to access to my purchased course, and it was not playing. I tried downloading it to see if it would play from there. When I went back to my courses, it was just gone. I searched everywhere, and the only thing I can find is the download that says it’s still pending. Trying to find anybody to get in touch with is a nightmare, I searched for about 20 minutes and finally found its AI support bot.

why ask for card info before a free trial? why not give me the free trial and then see if I want to pay for it? this strategy relies heavily on forgetfulness and the developers prioritize revenue over your personal convenience. Also, u can get a discount if u close out of the first offer for a free trial.

This purchase was made only a few hours ago, and the experience I encountered was materially different from what was represented prior to purchase. The online interface and presentation were misleading compared to the actual app experience. Once inside the app, the navigation was extremely poor and frustrating to use. At multiple points, I became stuck on pages with no clear navigation path back to the home or search screen, creating a dysfunctional user experience.
In addition, the course quality itself was far below reasonable expectations. The instructor appeared disinterested and unenthusiastic throughout the lessons, which significantly impacted the learning experience. More importantly, for a bass guitar instructional course, the camera angles and presentation failed to properly show both hands during demonstrations, making it unnecessarily difficult, and at times impossible, to clearly understand what was being taught or played.
This combination of misleading presentation, poor usability, and inadequate instructional quality resulted in a product that did not reasonably match expectations at the time of purchase. I attempted the course in good faith and determined almost immediately that it was not usable for the purpose intended.
The customer service was even worse than the app, believe it or not. They suck you in, and don’t care about your satisfaction. They do not give refunds. Don’t waste your money!

I literally just purchased this app to study for my exam, and it’s not even working AT ALL. Won’t let me login, keeps loading, keeps giving me error message. I’ve reloaded the application multiple times, even tried to login online still not working. I NEED A REFUND!

Insanely ironic much of the content here is for coding and development. This app is just an extremely poorly done wrapper on the website. It will constantly fail to actually render the mobile app UI and will instead load the normal browser webpage within which will, ironically of course prompt you to download the mobile app. While you are in the mobile app.
I actually can’t even use the practice tests I paid for because the UI is so scuffed.

I wish the app didn’t have so many glitches, I try to load my course and the app closes. If I am able to actually access the course then I get an error message about content not currently being available. I thought this app would help make learning on the go a bit more accessible but often times I need to wait until I’m stationary with my laptop to access courses

When you try to mirror any Apple device to the Apple TV, it does not play at all. It’s just the background and noise. You have to use an HDMI to connect to the MacBook to play it. Otherwise, you can’t mirror on any Apple device on the Apple TV.

I’ve never been able to make this app work. If I can get the video to play at all most times, it doesn’t have sound. Do not waste your time with this app. You will have more luck going to their site with a browser, logging in and learning that way. This app is a joke.

There wesbite mevwr works and there App takes 100 years to load. Once you buy the course forget you will ever be able to complete it.

App has ads even though I paid for courses. No audio on courses that were paid for. Constant pop ups to enable reminders and notifications.
Browser version/website is stable and actually works, I'd recommend using that instead.
