The new update ruined the remaining to spend category. Now if you go over budget by say $500, it will tell you that you have $500 left to spend, not that you are $500 over

Every time this app gets updated, it gets worse. Why? Who is making these awful decisions? For instance, in the latest update, someone thought it was a good idea to remove the feature that allowed for expense rearrangement by pressing and holding. Now you have to press a button at the top right corner, EVERY TIME! That’s on top of all the other insidious changes over the last few years including putting expense pie charts behind paywalls, making the first tab when you log in an advertisement, forcing expenses to stay in the same position month by month, making it difficult to reuse expense naming month to month as we see fit, and many more irritating changes.
Please stop!! At this point, this app would be 100 times better off if they reallocated all developers and stuck to maintenance only by an offshore team. Truly horrendous.

I’ve used this app for years, but the newest update rounds the monthly expenses to the nearest hundred dollars. There now is no way to see exactly how much I spent in a month, defeating the purpose of a budget app!

I love the newest version of the app that just came out! It’s soo much faster, less tedious (like the now larger click areas for the buttons), new button to just fill in the amount remaining in one click and also auto-filling in the category name for the transaction name which all save so much time. The app is also soo much faster just moving between screens, after creating a transaction, etc. So many of the small things that have driven me crazy for a while are now fixed. It’s obvious a lot of love was invested in improving the app’s UX.
Thank you soo much for all the time and attention you put into improving the app and making it great! I’m also loving Dark Mode!

1) “Merchant” is pre-filled in with an editable “category” (instead of leaving it blank for a manual fill-in)
2) Taping the top of the app won’t take it back to the top of the app (like all my other apps do!)
3) Now ALL THE BOTTOM TABS are GONE! 😮🙄😵💫
What in the world is going on with their app designers?! Helloooo?
🤔🤷🏽♂️😮😵💫

Before the update it could track income and spending. Now it won’t track any income and doesn’t accurately reflect my budget anymore. It just shows what’s spent making it look like I have way less than what’s actually there.
It’s not as helpful if I can’t also track what’s coming into my budget so I can actually get a real picture of my money.

I loved the app… but now with this new update it’s throwing off the numbers.
Normally I plan my next month from the last paycheck of the current month (example last April paycheck used to start May budget) and usually it works. Now when I setup May budget and start putting transactions from in, it shows as if the money isn’t there because the app is not making money “available” until May 1st. It’s throwing off the budget bad and causing my groups to have me in the red. This didn’t happen before the update.

The app is very nicely set up an easy to use. I only wish that it was more friendly for people who are paid biweekly. For example, in May my husband will receive 3 paychecks and part of the last check will go to expenses is June. If I track a June expense under a May date, I wish that it would pull from the remaining amount (to be budgeted) to better reflect the spending. Otherwise, it is a great app.

Looks like it would be a great app to use unfortunately I can’t even get through the sign on process without a glitching. Tried everything with no luck.

I’ve been dealing with constant issues on this app for 5 months. It’s a shame because it used to work so well and now it is unusable. Ongoing connection issues and the biggest challenge is duplicate transactions which are extremely time consuming to go sort through. All customer support tells you to do is switch to Plaid, then back to Mastercard Connect, then back to Plaid.

Stupid premium pitch every time I open the app I'm so tired of it
J95Z • Apr 27, 2026
I have loved and used this app for years. Now every time I go on to enter a purchase I have to click through pop ups asking me to upgrade to premium. Very inconvenient when you are trying to complete a transaction and remember amounts. If it gets any worse I will switch apps

Opened app today and there had been an update which now does not allow me to get to the budget without answering a set of questions and there is no way to bypass. I paid for the app to create and track a monthly budget, not to answer your survey in order to do this.
ADeveloperandHerMac • Apr 26, 2026
Working great for me so far. Before the new update the only problem I had with it is that it would include my savings funds as what was left to spend for the month (which is inaccurate). Looks like the update fixed that though, so I’m happy.

I’ve been using this app for years. Love it but whatever update just happened now the app is forcing me to fill out a questionnaire before I can continue to use it. NO. There’s no need for me to tell you all my financial goals and more about my overall finances. The budget tool worked just fine without having to provide that. Add an option to bypass this or sadly, this will be the end of our multi-year relationship.

I have tried to try other budget apps but this one seems to me the simplest to use, its not complicated to understand. Paycheck planning is a must.

I’m really impressed with the EveryDollar team’s commitment to their users. I’ve been using the BETA version since the early days, and after suggesting a specific improvement, I was thrilled to see it actually implemented. Thank you for listening to the community and for your constant hard work on this app!

I like this app, I really do. Been using it for a while. But more and more it’s been nagging me constantly to upgrade to premium. No thanks - I don’t want that, so stop asking me about it. Now, they are making me go through and answer a bunch of questions at app launch just to use it - no way to skip or opt out. I don’t want this. I just want a good, free budgeting app like this used to be.

Unable to manually add an expense now after the update. Press the + button and the manual add screen appears and quickly disappears without allowing any information to be added.
