Yuka established a database that contains 4 million food products and 2 million cosmetic products.
Each food product is evaluated according to 3 objective criteria: nutritional quality, presence of additives and organic aspect of the product.
The method to analyse cosmetic products is based on the analysis of all the ingredients of the product. Each ingredient is assigned a risk level according to the latest scientific data.

I never go shopping without my Yuka app. This is my third year of subscribing to this app and it’s worth every penny. Minimal mistakes and if you find one, they’ll make corrections. It’s our responsibility to be our own advocates of what goes in our bodies and on our hair and skin. This is one of the best tools in my toolbox.

I think this app is extremely useful, especially for US users where regulation of dangerous food additives is very lax (e.g. considered harmless unless shown to be harmful). I was shocked how bad was the products I regularly ate!! A must have.
I absolutely positively love this app. It makes it so much easier to make good food choices.. I love that. It not only tells me food is good or bad but tells me why.
