States to be free but just isn’t $140 a year 🤦♂️🤦♂️
This product is a scam. It’s very limited in what it can do and yet they falsely advertise a free trial. You sign up for the monthly trial, thinking you have a 3 day free trial. They charge $30 and then refuse to refund. They make it incredibly difficult to request a refund as well. I’m pretty sure this whole product makes money off of this scheme. $30/month is insanely steep for what this app has to offer.
The worst experience, especially in mobile Safari. Very unstable app.
have to scan each individual page. it will not take a picture of a book and then read you the book
You get basically nothing for free. The free voices are choppy and sound like they were ran through a blender. Cant use a cloned voice for free. Want a summary nah that cost money too. Might as well just use the built in TTS or burn $100
They fixed the login issue on mobile but now the app itself doesn’t work nor can you log into the web version on the phone. I spend more time trying to get this to work properly than any other app.
I’ve seen so many ads that all you have to do is take a pic of the books you want to read and speechify reads it to you. NOT! I realize how naive i was to believe an instagram ad now. You have to buy a membership, then pay for every book you want to read after that! There was a $30 coupon, so that helped, but still not what I was lead to believe. Don’t waste your time. Just get evermore or audible.
I think the voice options are great, but when used for film scripts or documents with unusual formatting the app will frequently skip over text. Even after I fiddled with the settings the issue persisted.
This app really irritated me. I signed up for the free trial to see if I liked the app before spending $130 on it. As soon as I clicked sign up for free trial they instantly charged my bank account. Not cool & very misleading. Now I have to go through the trouble of disputing this with my bank. Do not sign up for the “free” trial.
Just paste what you want and say mirror. It’ll mirror it back and It’s free without trying to rip people off with crazy prices
Makes you jump through endless hoops to cancel do not do it
App doesn't work well and bills you for the year upfront rather than monthly. Couldn't use it to read pdfs because it skips words, rendering them unintelligible. Got charged $153+ for a service that's useless
It’s good but man, $140 EVERY year just too much, I’m sorry. I could see this costing maybe $80 a year. Also, it’s a lot of money to cough up all at one time. I get you might not want to offer monthly, but can you at least offer 3 months or 6 months?
I downloaded it and it did not explain how to use the service at all. And then said I could go over and look up books and when I click on that, no book showed up in the library, so this is absolutely useless to me. Glad I didn’t have to pay
Missed the free trial cancelation by a few hours. When I emailed about canceling, they cancelled me and took my money. Didn’t tell me that was the plan until I was locked out.
