This is an actual app that I can positively say enhanced my way of living daily in God‘s word and has totally changed my life.
I absolutely love this app. Mostly because I can personalize it to my liking with speed of play back or music or no music just to name a few.
I would just love some more voice options with the NIV or the NLT. Just came on here to say that. Otherwise no complaints and think that this app is definitely worth the cost.

Dwell has become a vital tool in my devotional and Bible study time. I amazed at the value and really encourage anyone on the fence about "paying for the Bible" to really consider how deep the offerings in this app go. The dedication to using real people vs AI readers is a huge selling point alone for me, and one I'm happy to support.
Dwell has become an edifying app that gives me the option to be in God's Word anytime, anywhere - I've been using it instead of doom scrolling or losing precious time in mindless social media apps. Heck, it's even helped me with some poor online shopping habits. I'm thinking of making a playlist with verses of wisdom and eternal perspectives to listen to before I allow myself to hit that online cart checkout - starting with Proverbs 17:16. ;)
I appreciate the thoughtful customization options for sounds, backgrounds, sleep timers - the care and attention to offering a good listening experience is clearly a priority. And my favorite addition has been the AUDIOBOOKS - I was able to stop one of my subscriptions for monthly audiobooks because of the amazing library found right here!

Great encouragement everyday
I find the various voices and background music a huge help to keep me focused on my daily walk with the Lord through his holy word.
The recent update threw off the routine I had In the morning. I’d listen to the Bible verse first and then listen to someone break it down for deeper meaning. Now the app confuses me and I lost on navigating.
Purchased The Word of Promise some years ago and I loved it. However, when I discovered the Dwell app which contained the word of promise amongst others it was a no-brainer. I purchased the lifetime version of. Dwell and I truly love it...

Playlists with the capability to replay and sleep option are what I use most. It allows one to listen to scripture to go to sleep. It’s also a great feature for scripture memorization as well.
I didn’t realize the difference between the NASB 1995 and 2020 translations. I prefer the 1995 translation.

I don't write reviews often, but Dwell has moved me enough to make an exception.
I've tried to build a habit of engaging with Scripture for years — and like so many, I'd start strong and gradually fade. Dwell changed that completely. There's something about hearing God's Word spoken aloud, with care and intention, that reaches a different part of the heart than reading alone ever did for me.
The narrators are wonderful. The music is calming without being distracting. The variety of reading plans means I always have somewhere meaningful to start. But more than any feature, it's the way this app has quietly woven itself into my mornings, my commute, my wind-down at night — that's what I'm most grateful for.
I find myself genuinely looking forward to opening it. That alone feels like a small miracle.
Thank you to everyone at Dwell who poured their hearts into building something so beautiful. You've helped me draw closer to Scripture in a way I didn't think was possible for someone like me. This app is a true blessing.
