Govee Home

Have used the same strip lights & the app for many years now & not had any issues, but in the last few weeks I’m having Bluetooth connection problems between the app and the lights. Every time I open the app & go to select the menu for my lights it takes forever to find nearby devices then ultimately say there’s no Bluetooth connection? The only way it has worked is if I delete & redownload the app, then when I log back in I’m able to connect to the lights & turn them on/off. But as soon as I’m done using them & try using the app later I have the same issue again. Pretty annoying that every day I’m deleting & redownloading the same app I’ve had for years. Not sure what changed because my wifi password is the same & the lights themselves work fine. Very frustrating!

I have two led bulbs in my living room and want to simply manage the two lights and set a brightness and color with a simple preset, as one pair of bulbs. No, making it Flickr to the sound of music, rotating through colors or exercising a demonic entity. Just go from bright white to subdued red and back at the touch of a button.

Simple right? This app can’t do it. It is the most confusing piece of software I’ve ever seen and I’m a professional developer. I wrote to support and they gave me instructions I can’t follow. Nothing is where you would expect to find it. But the built in store sure is complete!
Maybe it works great for a set of led strips but I would not recommend this app or Govee because they have no documentation on how to use their products with the app. YouTube videos show an older app the looks like it worked better. Marketing got to this version, it doesn’t work.

Ok I am a recent Govee user and I frikin love these lights!!! I use the black floor lamp and the designs are crazy! I also wanna say thanks to my uncle Yousef for getting me the light!! 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮

It great that one can set a time for switches to turn on and off but since sunrise and sunset change on a daily basis, it would be great to have and option to turn on a switch at Sunset or turn it off at Sunrise.

Just go these to replace some WeMo Switches that Belkin abandoned, but I was used to using that option.

It would be great to also have here.

I will only rate 3 stars for now until I know my other home applications can see and I can control the switches with Alexa and then I will raise to 4.

And I hem to 5 stars once Sunrise and Sunset options are added.

Took me a while to get up to speed because the app is not intuitive. Requires trial and error to accomplish the tasks. But once you learn it you can navigate with little trouble

Lately this app has been terrible. I don't even write reviews and even I felt obligated to 1 star this horrible app

Why would you push ads in an app that is a glorified light switch.

I’m comparing these new lightbulbs with my lifx lightbulbs I had for a long time the bulb so far is good. The app this features that I would love to see that the customers could benefit that I don’t see in this app.. for example I would love to see Govee Home to add within each scene, especially the scenes that changes different colors the option to slow down the speed or increase the speed of the lights changing colors if they can do that that will be a winner for me. Otherwise, if they don’t implement that feature soon to give us control to adjust the speed of the effects, changing along with keeping the adjustment of level of brightness. I’m going back to lifx brand and returning these ones.
