This is the best way to speak Japanese! You are speaking from lesson one! I learned French and Spanish in high school and college, and it was slow going. This just feels natural in comparison!

I tried babel and dulingo , neither taught me to speak only this app gave me the confidence to speak and I learned more in 3 months on this app than some learn in Year !
Really a great app
Great study tool.
So I have purchased level 1 Tagalog. And I was able to open the books a couple days ago. Today I went to open books and they are just blank. The audio part of book works, but there is no written material. EDIT: so I noticed there was an update and I’m thinking that update glitched the books. I’m still unable to read anything. And like I said prior to when I purchased Tagalog 1, I was able to read everything. I will gladly give 5 stars if you fix this issue. The reason why I won’t give 1 Star is because I’ve always loved how Pimsleur teaches. But after giving $120 and not having the app work correctly is a massively disappointing.
This app is definitely a top language app for me. The only thing I’d really like to see is that instead of listening to the lesson then being granted the achievements for the lesson and the next lesson unlocking after hearing the audio, we have to complete the optional challenges under the lesson to unlock the next lesson to move on. It would feel more rewarding, like I worked for it.
I’ve tried Babbel, Duolingo, and parrot, and I found Pimsleur’s to be the best for me.
I purchased an entire language program, all levels, completed Level 1 Lesson 1 but Lesson 2 was still locked. Live chat support told me to restore the program which I did. Still nothing. Level 1 never went past Lesson 1! Told Live Chat person but I never got a response back! I waited 20 minutes for a response but got nothing. I’ve lost a lot of money thanks to this terrible app.
It is a good challenge but not so hard that you can't do it!
I like this program, but it starts out very basic. I already know some Spanish I would like to be more advanced
