Community Voice & Feedback
I’ve loved this app! I used this for my first 5k not using it for my first 10 k training!!!
Overall, I really like this app. The program is easy to follow and works well with my Apple Watch. My one complaint is I wish it included the warm-up and cool down in the map and total distance at the end. It feels weird sharing the map with stats when it doesn’t include the extra 10 minutes of exercise.
This app has been a great tool to help me get into running, and I’m especially happy with the ability to track my run while leaving my phone behind. The lack of subscription is a huge plus too; I’m happy to have paid the one-time fee, and I’m happy enough with the app that I hope to be adding on the 10K program before too long.
This app doesn't take advantage of the detailed tracking apple watch provides. Although it saves your workouts in the fitness app, it only has really basic stats. No cadence, no heartrate zones. The UI is slightly clunky too.
Love it! Very affordable compared to others. Simple but is all I need!
Este app hace lo que necesita y nada más. Es fantástico
This is by far the worst running app I have tried. Don’t waste your money.
I’m a few weeks in but this app is it. It’s affordable, simple, and just works. The plan is tried and true and this is a great way to track it.
After a long break from running, I was excited to try this out given the positive reviews. Unfortunately there were egregious bugs during my first run.
1. The walk and run timers consistently freeze at zero for minutes at a time.
2. A voice announcing when it’s time to transition between running/walking was advertised. I listened but heard nothing, though there was a faint, easy to miss vibration. I had to stare at my watch the entire time (even more frustrating given the timer was usually stuck!)
I’m a software engineer and I’m usually understanding of bugs, but how do you mess up a timer this badly, especially when it’s the core feature of your app? Is there just no QA happening whatsoever? Rival apps like “Just Run” are free and just *work*. I’m on the latest version on the latest iOS edition. At best this is a new bug that will be patched, given the other positive reviews that are presumably real, but I want a refund.

I just started using this app, but it works amazing! It is simple and easy to use. I really like that it’s a one-time purchase and much cheaper than Couch to 5K, which is a subscription. It’s been a helpful tool as I’ve wanted to get back into running.
I love this app, easy to use, provides all the details for each run, and has been great to use with just the Apple Watch. I’m in my last week of the plan and it’s been a great tool to keep me on track. Even works for treadmill or outdoor running.
Since injuries limited my cardio, I needed something new. At 70 y/young, I’ve never run in my life… until now. I just completed Week 6, Run 3.
Watch to 5K is the perfect app for me. I crank up my Praise tunes on my earbuds, start the Watch to 5K app on my Apple Watch, warm up with a 5 minute walk & the app tells me what to do when. “Start Running” Slow Down to a Brisk Walk” “You’re Halfway Done” CONGRATULATIONS, You Did It”.
The program starts slow with walking interspersed with short runs (jogs in my case)… and builds 3 days a week.
I did have a conflict that turned off the voice the 2nd week - I think it was the Find Me app notifying me my iPhone had been left behind (hurray!). I turned off Find My, deleted and redownloaded the app and it talks to me again! No watching my phone for time! Thanks!

I’ve used other CT5K apps in the past but never had one that allowed me to go without my iPhone and just use my Apple Watch.
After a bit of fiddling to install the app, download music to the Watch via Spotify and another Watch app called WatchAudio, and pair my AirPods to my watch, the app worked flawlessly and amazingly.
The help sections for setup were worthy of studying and much appreciated. Thanks Ben.
For the price, this app changed my entire life. I just ran week 8 and, at 60 years of age, had previously thought that no longer possible.
Kudos to the developer. Keep up the good work.

I would love to use this but have spent countless hours and can’t get it onto my child’s watch. This makes it pretty useless and a waste of money. Probably an Apple issue more than an app issue but I hope Apple can make it easier to set up devises for children without making them have their own phones.
Tried the app as I liked the option of choosing my own music rather than using the fixed music on the NHS couch to 5k podcast episodes.
Instructions were very robotic and not very inspiring. Also couldn’t figure how to get my data into Strava so without that it wasn’t the right fit.
Sure it will be great for some.
