I have learned today through PayPal support that they don’t have the ability to block merchant transactions and this is so important . Imagine someone gets your PayPal card and buys a reoccurring purchase that isn’t a subscription (for example lead apps like thervo ) you can Dgo to support and literally tell them you are being charged fraudulently and they will ask you to go to the actual merchant to stop them from charging you . This is so awful becuase image you went to a food cart in New York to get food . These carts move around daily , they can continue to hit your card with duplicate charges and you would have to either cancel your account or leave everything in savings and hope it doesn’t steal your money when you move it to balance . Cashapp shows all of your recent activity . If a transition went through or not Cashapp will show these transactions. You can go to support and block merchants transactions simply by tapping the transaction and typing “block merchants” you won’t be able to get charged again . But you cannot expect PayPal to keep your fund secure if you don’t have the control to block fraudulent charges . Never trusting PayPal with large sums of money maybe 10$ at a time . You’re better off having the cash . Please mark this review as helpful as you can image how this will deter people from making a low security decision . Thank you . PayPal keeps dumping their APY. There are a ton of others out there with higher % long term. Time to jump ship.
This app is absolutely terrible and one of the worst banking apps I’ve ever used. I’m 18 years old and obviously old enough to create and manage my own account and for some reason, they permanently banned my account and I can’t even deactivate it. Why? Because of apparent “inconsistencies” I supposedly had while making my account. The customer service sucks and they basically said, “oh sucks to be you because we’re not unbanning your account, you have a nice day though.” This app SUCKS!
Used PayPal since 2010 with no issues until recently. They’ve decided repeatedly to side with a company taking $20 from me weekly with NO WAY to cancel the subscription. Instead of making it right or at the very least helping cancel the subscription, they chose to side with the company repeatedly. Will

surprise surprise: the app got even worse
I got this app today and created an account like normal once I finished it had me verify myself (ok that’s fine) but after showing it my drivers license it permanently banned me from using the app. 1 star
After the last update, I cannot access the PayPal lock screen on the app. I lowered the rating because I have worked on the facial recognition feature for a while and it keeps saying “use a neutral expression “ and I was using a neutral one. It will not cooperate!! I cannot access the lock button because it just scrolls and won’t let me check it since the update! Fix it please!

I said it all in my title. Don’t trust PayPal to stop anything that you don’t want. I just keep getting reoccurring bills and I can’t stop it.
PayPal will let you buy crypto, charge you fees, then will not allow you to send your own crypto. Then you have to sell it (another fee) then transfer it out (a third fee) all just to get where you were before you started except they took three fee charges, which if transactions are big, that’s a lot of money. I have been a customer for over 10 years and use the app often…in the past they were much better. Do to their fee trap loop as described o have lost hundreds of dollars if not thousands over the course of a few years via their crypto services. I am finally switching elsewhere and really wanted to make sure I wrote a review to others before they get you too! God speed.
So i run a small business where i sell digital goods and some physical items i have people send thru paypal if there across seas or only have pp after a the first few send i couldn’t withdraw anything so i sent in my id nd stuff and i was able to after a few days my acc was under review so i sent them proof of what i was doing showing i dont scam or nun like that then my acc was back to normal more transactions build up btw paypal takes 30 days to withdraw if your new to the app so already this shi sucks and somepeople can refund the money after they send so if your using this for buisness uhh dont anyway more transactions built up sum from the same ppl cus im legit n shi n they ask for more proof of what im doing or i lose features so i do send it in a few days later my accs normal for 5 hrs then its gets permanently inactivated i didnt do nun at all this my money dont know why they are tryna control everything just be a simple transaction app bro😭✌️ anyway i had about $100 in there that i had to watch get takes charged and taken by paypal my account now has negative balance i didn’t get any of my money top 10 wrst apps oat for money transfers ts actually trash and they said i cant send an appeal so DO NOT DOWNLOAD TS ITS UNSAFE UNTRUSTABLE AND NOT A GOOD PLACE TO KEEP MONEY AY keep scamming as a big app ig😭 1 star nga
The reason why is because Apple always have to keep putting things on 16s and 17s. What about!!!. I have a 15!!!, it’s like they don’t even care anymore. Hello apple the 15s come on.
