Not sure what they’ve been doing with the last few updates but this app is buggier than ever. Photos and trails don’t load and my phone gets hot when using the app. There’s clearly a lot of vibe coding happening at AllTrails.

find obscure trails anywhere easily

Maybe it’s just a glitch, but I downloaded the app and the search function doesn’t work. The app won’t search for trails by distance from my location without a subscription (which seems lame) and doesn’t show anything when I search by trail name. If one is just trying to figure out where a trail is and how to get there, there are much better alternatives.

Always check AllTrails, and my friends downloaded maps have saved us once.

App is great. Free plan is quite generous compared to similar apps. Convinced me to start spending more time outside :)

I live in a town with 5G cellular service, which connects perfectly with my Apple Watch Ultra.

When I go for a walk, and click on the AllTrails app to start recording my walk, and then click finish at the end of my walk, I get nothing but garbage where an accurate track of my walk should be.

Yesterday I walked for 90 minutes. AllTrails claimed that I had gone only 0.5 miles and showed an insane zigzag pattern immediately around my house, instead of my actual route.

Apparently this is a known problem with this app, which renders it 100% useless and potentially even unsafe.

Look elsewhere!

Unreliable. Stops tracking in the middle of a hike. Should be called some trails as many trails are not listed.
