Community Voice & Feedback
I use it for recording my business dealings. I’m super happy with both the features and the quality of the playback!
I reaally like this app because of all the different features it has. However, Many of the buttons are not labeled at all or poorly labeled. I am totally blind person who uses Voiceover which is Apple's builtccin screen reader and with many of the buttons either not labeled at all or just having descriptive names like add minus etc makes this a very unpleasant experience to use. There are also pbbaces like when navigating between the different folders where you have to completely disable Voiceover to click on the folder name to get the folder to open. I would reaally appreciate if Voiceover accessibility could be added in any future updates. Thank you.
I’ve use AVR Pro for my personal recording of affirmations. My favorite part is how you get to merge recordings so you can have them any combination you wanted.
I've been using the free version of this app for YEARS. I finally decided to get the paid version bc I wanted to be able to organize my (many) memos into folders. So I paid for Pro and instead of unlocking the folder feature IT DOWNLOADED A COMPLETELY SEPARATE APP THAT DOESN'T HAVE ANY OF MY OLD RECORDINGS IN IT!!! They're all stuck inside the free version of the app where I STILL can't organize them. And I can't find a way to import them into the new Pro App. I could (possibly) download them to my computer, sync them thru iTunes, and hope that works. But I'm not going to waste time doing something that braindead and inane. I'd rather just switch to another app and hope I can get a refund. Seriously WHY MAKE YOUR PRO UPGRADE SO INCONVENIENT!?
It also offers noise reduction post processing. This helps with my recording in a noisy classroom.
This app has been truly an invaluable tool for recording my thoughts, graced insights, heart felt moans and blessed Hallelujahs!!! It is easy and simple to use and works perfectly for as a digital journal, recorder, etc.
I love this app. I use it consistently and appreciate the sound quality and the shareability of the files. Would give five stars but you really need to make this work with Apple AirPods. If I want a clean voice audio, I have to use the old fashioned plug-in earbuds. Please change this!
In short, somehow this app began requiring me to enter a password to access my recordings. This has been required WITHOUT my initiation for the past several months. I have reached out to the developer with no response. So, all of my recordings are inaccessible. What a disgrace that someone can’t even get back to me.
So I had high hopes for this app. Tired of iPhone’s voice memo that wouldn’t sync properly and had to hand select over 5k voice memos to get them backed up. This is bad for a songwriter. I use memos all the time.
Anyway, this app: when you share it to an email 2 things happen:
1. There’s no send button. (That’s kind of like really important?
2. It doesn’t name the voice memo by what you call it. Why would you type in a specific name only to have it called 284738292-375954
Um…what in the world.
Pick a different app.
Life is too short for this nonsense.
Oh and one other thing…there is no obvious playback button. A simple play icon would make sense right? Nope. It’s says “1X” and somehow that’s your cue to hit it to play back the memo. Lol.
It’s cool that you can speed it up or slow it down. Solid feature. But in my opinion the basic interface should be simple and idiot proof (like play, stop rewind, edit). The “crop” button doesn’t crop. Instead it’s the button to change the format for the voice memo (wav, mp3 etc) There is an edit button, but again the symbols are bizarre and not intuitive.
On a positive note…the recording quality is good.
My 2 cents…just pass.

Have recorded numerous times, but the files don’t actually play back and have no content.
I love this app! I have lots of short recordings… have used it fir 2-3 years! But…why can’t I get icon on my upgraded iPhone 14? Every time I try to listen to a voice memo I have to search for app or go to apple store and open it. I need my AVR Pro icon back please! And thank you!
I’d really like to see a widget in a future update!
Tried to sync this app to my Google drive, but Google would not allow it because “this app tried to access sensitive info in your Google account.”
Also, I could not figure out how to trim the ends off the audio file — editing seems difficult.
And I really wanted this to simply access the standard iOS sharing interface so I could send an audio file over iMessage, but it does not do that. Not a great file sharing experience.

I’ve been using AVR PRO for many years now, EVERY single day! Not a day goes by when I’m not listening to a recording or making a recording. I have thousands of recordings.
The app on my phone will record, but will not allow me to rename the files or play them back after recording. The link for app support is not working.
