KEY FEATURES
• Your To-Dos
Your basic building block is the almighty To-Do—each a small step toward a great accomplishment. You can add notes, tag it, schedule it, and break it down into smaller steps.
• Your Projects
Create a Project for any big goal, then add the to-dos to reach it. Use headings to structure your list as you outline your plan. There’s also a place to jot down your notes, and a deadline to keep you on schedule.
• Your Areas
Create an Area for each sphere of your life, such as Work, Family, Finance, and so on. This keeps everything neatly organized, and helps you see the big picture as you set your plans in motion.
• Your Plan
Everything on your schedule is neatly laid out in the Today and Upcoming lists, which show your to-dos and calendar events. Each morning, see what you planned for Today and decide what you want to do. The rest is down to you :)
MORE THINGS TO LOVE
As you dive deeper, you’ll find Things packed with helpful features. Here are just a few:
• Reminders — set a time and Things will remind you.
• Repeaters — automatically repeat to-dos on a schedule you set.
• This Evening — a special place for your evening plans.
• Calendar integration — see your events and to-dos together.
• Tags — categorize your to-dos and quickly filter lists.
• Quick Find — instantly find to-dos or switch between lists.
• Magic Plus — drag the + button to insert to-dos anywhere in a list.
• Share extension — create to-dos with content from other apps.
• Widgets — see lists on your home/lock screens.
• Mail to Things — forward an email to Things; now it’s a to-do.
• Markdown — structure & style your notes.
• And much more!
MADE FOR IPHONE
Things is tailored to the iPhone with deep system integrations as well. A great example is the Share extension, which allows you to create to-dos with content from other apps, such as a link to a website you want to get back to.
You can also enjoy a beautiful dark mode at sunset, connect your calendars, add a variety of widgets, create to-dos via Siri, import from Reminders—Things can do it all! There’s even Shortcuts integration if you want to automate your workflows.
MADE FOR APPLE WATCH
Things comes with a great app for Apple Watch. Just raise your wrist to glance at your Today list, mark to-dos complete as you go, and dictate new ones on the fly—all synced instantly with your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
AWARD-WINNING DESIGN
Made in Stuttgart, with two Apple Design Awards to its name, Things is a fine example of German engineering: designed not only to look fantastic, but to be perfectly functional as well. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, then polished to perfection.
“It’s like the unicorn of productivity tools: deep enough for serious work, surprisingly easy to use, and gorgeous enough to enjoy staring at.”
—Apple

Community Voice & Feedback
Deal breaker. Deleted my to do list without warning. Tutorial on app is atrocious-assumes you already know how to use the app. Better options out there.
So many bujo apps take all your data, or simply are not flexible or lack basic features like repeating daily tasks.
Not this one.
I have tried just about everything, including apps that try to mimic the bullet journal concept, but this one honestly provides what’s needed. The projects are equivalent to collections. Daily tasks can be repeated or grouped. It’s great.
And to top it off, no subscription? Funny how that makes me say “take my money.”
Thanks for the great app, devs. May your pillowcase always be cool.

I only use this for repeating events/tasks. Which is amazing, but a little clunky. I really wish I could more easily move task date to sooner or later since it just hits you with a "pause" or "change" on the recurring options, not the actual date. I would also like to move things around in the "Upcoming" menu since I like that view to know how packed I made a day, and want to rearrange items to ease the load.
I’ve used several task apps but I like the ease of using Things3. I use it daily because it sure beats paper. I like the tutorials they provide. The only thing the app needs work is the ability to share a photo, like a texted invite photo with dates and times etc. to the things list in a much simpler quicker easier way, ie- please write that software so it can be automatic. I’m getting tired of rewriting data when I could send a picture instead.
I wasn’t warned about creating an account to keep my entries in the cloud. Lost a lot when I switched phones.
Good app, but can't check off a repeating task the day before it is due. Can only check it off on the day it is due. So if you get it done a day or so early, you are out of luck.
Another problem: If I miss checking off a task on a particular day, it shows up on the next day, but there is no way to find the original due date. It just says due today. I’d like to go back and find what happened on the original due date, but there is no information available to lead me there. Please show the due date somewhere on tasks.
Third issue, Siri. Have to say “in Things”. And then hope the iPhone does it correctly. The watch app doesn’t accept reminder request with verbal task input.

I’d love to see an ai to help. I only see start times for events, but not the end times, in ‘today’. I would love this app if there would be better integration with calendars, it’s so close to being a great mobile daily task manager. Surprises occur in the day and the ability to move things around for the day would be nice, if only I could see what time slots I have available... without having to switch between my calendar. Thanks for considering my suggestions.
I run my entire life with this app. Love it.
If you or the app accidentally deletes a to do list theres no undo button
i paid for this app based off reddit reviews hoping for something to help me with a daily schedule, this app is not it. If you have it set to repeat daily it will add duplicate events. the widgets aren’t very good either
Best productivity I have found thus far and I have tried many over the years. Like the simplicity which works well for me. Enjoying it so far.
It’s actually pretty good. It’s exactly what is advertised and the other reviews are right. It’s a good app.
Just got this set up, but the balance of simplicity, beauty, design and function hits all the right notes. The only thing I change immediately is that flags are deadlines rather than priority flags, which is weird and annoying. But this was clearly built for people who can get lost working on systems rather than working on work and the flow to focus on the work that needs to get done.
Great app. I’m using it on an iPhone 15 pro. Works great and a good tool that is in line with David Allen’s Getting Things Done methodology.
I think that the problem with most apps that mean to help you organize your life is the user. No app will help you change ingrained patterns. But I like this app because it doesn’t get o. The way. It is powerful. It is simple. May not be for you but it is perfect for what it does and means to do.
