Frustrated WO • Feb 20, 2026
I subscribed to the service but didn’t realize their servers are in Ukraine. Big mistake. Degraded capabilities and no tech support. Hopefully my subscription will go to the war effort.

I’ve been having a lot of issues syncing with Vox cloud. I canceled and deleted the app almost a year ago, came back and i’m still having issues. I went as far as deleting everything but it’s still not loading music properly. I have to sit in my car waiting for the app to go through zero byte music before it actually plays a song. And that’s if it doesn’t time out and stop all together. Now i have to look at my phone and hit shuffle again for it to continue to go through zero byte music. It’s very frustrating!

It does play music but adding it to the right place in the UI takes a long time! You drag n drop a file in there and never know where it appears inside this labyrinth of an app. When you re in the car the music is never where you expect it. Like why I can’t just add my track to the album? How do I sort songs by my order, they’re always alphabetical with no other options. Where does it take album background from, it’s always random. When I open the app where are Collections? You can add a song from library to collection but where is it? When you magically get to collection how to add songs to it? Why on Earth, just why it displays same art of songs accidentally have same album name? Why when I add songs to collections I can’t see collection names because there’s Play Next list on top that cannot be cleared. This software was written by AI.

this is the worst app i ever downloaded- it cannot open a single file on my iphone - the whole reason i downloaded it. it wants you to use a cloud, bad design. most important design feature would be opening a local file.
DavidChrist23 • Oct 22, 2025
Actually shuffles playlists instead of the same 50 over and over in large playlists but getting music that is on the phone into the library is a15 minute process that my phone barely survives due to how frustrating it is. Instructions; turn on ‘automatic sync’ and check if it’s in VOX, nope so now go back to where sync library is and press the sync button then check VOX. Nope, now question if it’s actually on the phone it’s in the apple app so must be on the phone, go press sync again and switch auto on and off then go check VOX. STILL NO! Took either that many attempts or that amount of time but either way I no longer plan on upgrading.

The BS2B crossmix option reduces the hyperstereo effect resulting from mixed-for-speakers recordings. Nice parametric EQ for adding gentle bass boost to my flat Etymotic ER4SR. Rarely crashes, iOS and/or VOX fixed something that was once a problem. Radio channels are a bonus… New Sounds included.
Dooki51 • Aug 31, 2025
This app has a problem where it’ll occasionally randomly crash while playing music. It just makes it less reliable, which is a shame because otherwise I think this app is superior to Apple’s own music player app.
jetsetfuture • Aug 23, 2025
I have an older iPod with Vox and it worked well… until I noticed it wasn’t scrobbling anymore. I signed out and tried to reconnect, but now it won’t even sync my account to the app. Not sure what the problem is when other legacy apps have no isssues. Without this functionality, it is waste.
local9890 • Aug 10, 2025
Hiby has an independent eq why would you charge people to use an equalizer and no SRC what a joke
nix.illusion • Aug 6, 2025
Bad app, has bugs, some songs don't play, although other apps have no playback issues. No lifetime license, which is a minus for me.
Theacebaze • Jul 31, 2025
I like the app and all the functions, just wish i could have a search function that searches my music only or all music, the way qobuz and apple music has it.
Hath35peace • Jul 10, 2025
i really don't know the reason but everytime i play the music in it, it just turned off itself after about 2mins.
i didn't touched anything just playing it once and then the application just got turned off. i couldn't even listening the 1 whole song... please help me
teamdrink • Apr 25, 2025
Half the files won’t display artwork, and this only started happening after the last update
Please fix or I’ll find another app to use
