Can’t even finish registration because app force closes. Start looking at the reviews and no one likes the app to begin with. Fun idea, horrible presentation.

It makes me login with Apple ID only….and won’t let me do an alternate method of login…then froze my phone.
Greenfam2026 • May 14, 2026
My kids school recommended this for summer reading, app crashed out immediately after first time opening. I could not even close it, had to force restart my phone! Couldn't even sign in

Exact same experience that the other reviewer mentions. I downloaded the app and it wouldn’t let me get out of signing in with my
AppleID. It totally froze up my phone. I couldn’t even exit the app. I had to restart my phone and then uninstalled it.

Downloaded app and it’s forcing me to sign in with my Apple email, which I don’t use frequently. I have signed up in the past with my personal email. Why is it forcing me to use Apple? It also was very intrusive and froze my phone.

Love the idea and nostalgia of it, I haven’t been able to access it because it’s not emailing me the verification code to continue set up. It’s been three days and I’ve tried two times.

Not logging in with my Apple account. Hard pass. App gets stuck trying to force you to do so and is very difficult to quit.
Sunshine4sarah • May 2, 2026
Nostalgia gripped me and I downloaded app. When prompted to create an account, I had a moment to reflect and decided that I didn’t want to do this. But then, how to exit app? There was no way. I couldn’t act out of the app. I couldn’t decline. I could not swipe away. Nothing! Literally, in order to use my phone, I needed to create an account to get to the point where I could delete the app.

The app automatically requires you to create an account using Apple ID. I do not want to use my Apple ID to setup my account. As a result it freezes the phone because the app will not let you exit the screen. Requiring using Apple ID to create an account is a horrible idea. I never use the option as it only results in issues when using google or Apple accounts to set up logins.

I downloaded the app in preparation for the upcoming registration opening on May 1. When I opened it, it tried to force me to login with my apple id which I never do. I tried to clear the fields and use alternative info but it wouldn’t let me. When I realized I was stuck in a loop I tried to swipe up to quit the app and it wouldn’t let me. Every time I swiped up it would recycle the info and prompt me for the login again. This feels super sketch but I’m posting in case PH reads this and they decide to investigate.

Couldn’t get the app to load. Had to restart my phone to exit app. I tried several times. Also, I reviewed the hoops needed to redeem pizza. It did not sound worth it. Not like the good old days where you got pizza for reading!

The Pizza Hut customer service app team tried to help to fix the glitches but in the end they couldn’t fix my current app issues. No pizza codes were ever available after pressing the finished buttons. My kids will receive incentives from myself instead of the Pizza Hut mini pizza and that is fine with me but I just want you to know that we gave up on the app. I did try other smart devices in case that was the problem. Upon logging in on new devices my account was wiped as if we didn’t ever join. I will say other companies like Barnes and Noble or Braums also have reading programs at different times of the year in the form of paper coupons. Paper seems to be more reliable than apps.

I don’t think it works quite as smoothly as it should but the dancing pizza and fun music are great way to celebrate and put smiles on my son’s face. The app is still pretty new so I guess they are still trying to work out the kinks.

There has been a few glitches but other than that ours has worked great. We homeschool and haven’t had a problem. During the month of September we weren’t able to log our hours for about two weeks, but everything worked right after. We also just received our codes for October after there was an issue for homeschoolers receiving it. Which they sent out an email and on notice on the app, it was fixed in a few days. Some people just need to learn to be patience.

Kids met their goal but codes never showed up. Emailed for help but never heard from anyone.
