Product Positioning & Context

AI Executive Synthesis
Updating the SwiftUI agent skill's core instructions to reflect Apple's cross-platform development push and the existence of OS 26 across all platforms, ensuring the agent provides relevant and up-to-date advice.
The SwiftUI agent skill's knowledge base is outdated, specifically regarding cross-platform development and the existence of 'OS 26' across all Apple platforms. The current instructions are iOS-centric, contradicting Apple's push for ecosystem-wide cross-platform apps. This highlights a critical challenge for AI-powered developer tools: maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. For B2B SaaS, an agent that provides outdated or platform-biased advice loses credibility and utility. The market demands AI tools that are continuously updated to reflect current best practices and platform realities, ensuring developers receive accurate, forward-looking guidance for multi-platform development.

The `npx skills add` command definitely prompts for Claude, and works correctly as-is.
Jonathan-De-Sousa • Apr 6, 2026
No, you are correct. The installation, for some reason, no longer asks for an _Installation Method_ (`Symlink` or `Copy to all agents`). This is necessary for the skill to be picked up by Claude Code since Claude Code accesses its skills from `~/.claude/skills`.

I fixed this problem post-installation by running the following command in the terminal:

```Zsh
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills
ln -s ~/.agents/skills/swift-concurrency-pro ~/.claude/skills/swift-concurrency-pro
```

@twostraws I don't think this can be handled with a PR, because what you actually need is a new repository. [Here](https://github.com/FlineDev/Marketplace?tab=readme-ov-file)'s my personal marketplace repo for reference, it's something like a "Swift package collection" but for plugins/skills in Claude Code and installation is documented in the README. Needs no `npm` / `npx` or Homebrew dependency.

The main file of the new repo would look like [this marketplace.json](https://github.com/FlineDev/Marketplace/blob/main/.claude-plugin/marketplace.json). The change needed in this repo would be to make it a Claude Code plugin, which requires something like [this plugin.json](https://github.com/FlineDev/CustomStatusline/blob/main/.claude-plugin/plugin.json) file.

If you want to provide first-level support for Claude Code, making these plugins and providing via a marketplace could be useful. But it's your choice if you even want that or want to keep this generic / Xcode-targeted. But if you d...

I'm only familiar with it as a user. It makes it easy to auto-update when developers update their skills.
twostraws • Mar 12, 2026
I have not. If it's something you're already familiar with, could you open a PR?
barrettj • Mar 11, 2026
Nevermind, the UI is just really obtuse and enter doesn't select things

+1

I am currently working on some macOS projects and I'm contemplating a web service based on Vapor (to be deployed in some Linux environment), all using Swift, all of which would benefit from nearly all of this swell advice.

Honestly, so much of this extends beyond SwiftUI, I feel like there's an opportunity for a companion skill, "Smart-Swift" or whatever.
