AI Executive Synthesis
Efficient and user-friendly cleanup; accurate identification of deletable files; transparent operation.
This feature request highlights a significant usability gap in PureMac's orphaned file cleanup. Users with large numbers of orphaned files (e.g., 2k+) require bulk selection and deletion capabilities, which are currently absent. The inability to `Cmd+A` or `shift select` creates a tedious manual process, directly hindering efficiency. The user's query about the scan's accuracy ('might be getting some needed files?') also reveals a lack of trust or transparency in the orphaned file identification process. For a cleaner, both efficiency and accuracy are paramount. Addressing this requires implementing robust bulk actions and potentially improving the clarity or confidence in the orphaned file detection algorithm.

This is already in the shipped app. "Select All" / "Deselect All" lives in the Orphaned Files toolbar (top-right) and toggles based on current selection. It shipped in v2.0.0 via [`d0b0653`](https://github.com/momenbasel/PureMac/commit/d0b0653) ("Harden orphan cleanup and add bulk selection") and is still present in v2.1.0.
v2.1.0 also tightens the uninstall safety path so bulk delete still rejects any high-risk home dotpath (`~/.ssh`, `~/.aws`, `~/.claude`, etc.) even when they somehow end up in the selection. Release: https://github.com/momenbasel/PureMac/releases/tag/v2.1.0
Closing as implemented. If the Select All button isn't appearing for you on the latest version, please reopen with a screenshot.

We should all east be able to select multiple files and then deselect the stuff we want to keep/investigate.
Yeah, this enhancement would be great. But, I have also consideration how much safe the deletes all orphaned files? Because when I examined them, I saw that some files were associated with applications that were still in use, not those that are leftovers.
For me Start Scan reports that 2.53 GB was freed and Scan Again reports exactly the same size. It doesn't remove anything even after Full Disk Access was explicitly granted. At least I was able to uninstall it :)
Just want to up-vote this. Would be a great enhancement.
