Product Positioning & Context
AI Executive Synthesis
Enabling DLSS Frame Generation on unsupported RTX 30 series GPUs for specific games. The expectation is that after placing the required files, the Framegen option should become available in game settings.
This issue highlights a core functionality failure for the DLSS Frame Generation mod: the feature simply does not activate in Wuthering Wave, despite correct file placement. The user's 3050 laptop, an RTX 30 series GPU, should theoretically be supported by this mod. The absence of the 'Framegen' option in game settings indicates a deeper integration problem, potentially related to detection mechanisms or specific game engine compatibility. Developer pain points include the lack of clear activation feedback and the need for additional, unspecified steps beyond basic file installation. This creates a significant barrier to entry and user frustration, as the promised performance enhancement remains inaccessible. For a B2B SaaS product, such silent failures and opaque troubleshooting requirements would severely impact user satisfaction and product adoption, signaling a lack of robustness and clear user guidance.

These new-gen Capcom games need reframework, with everything placed in the plugin folder.
> I'm on a 3090 and I tried with Monster Hunter Wilds and it looked good. I copied in the 2 new dll's nvngx_dlss.dll and nvngx_dlssg.dll I downloaded from techpower up, then dropped in the version.dll and dlssg_sm86.ini. Only edit I did was the same, KernelImage=PTX
Can you send me those dll links that you donwloaded in techpowerup?

i enabled 4x frame gen like this:
copy version.dll and sm86 in "Wuthering Waves\Client\Binaries\Win64" next to Client-Win64-Shipping.exe and also move optiscaler files here and install as dxgi
then replace nvngx_dlssg.dll inside "Wuthering Waves\Engine\Plugins\Runtime\Nvidia\StreamlineCore\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64" with 310.1 dll
edit optiscaler.ini
Dxgi = true
SpoofedDeviceId = 0x2b80
SpoofedGPUName = NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090
and if HAGS is enabled in windows you should see frame gen menu appear ingame
if HAGS is off then edit this in optiscaler.ini
SpoofHAGS = true
ingame you should see your gpu as 5090 and you can select 4x frame gen

It worked on my 3090, on cyberpunk 2077

I had the same problem with NTE. The generator settings were not displayed even after spoofing.
Since these games are more or less “the same,” I can tell you how I got it to work—at least for “Wuthering Waves,” I think this will work.
You’ll need Optiscaler and Ultimate ASI Loader.
First, install Optiscaler and rename dxgi.dll to winmm.dll.
Run the game to verify that Optiscaler is working.
Next, copy version.dll from this repository into the plugins folder and rename it to dlssg_for_sm86.asi. Place the config file in the folder next to the game’s exe file (the same place where you installed Optiscaler).
Next, install Ultimate ASI Loader; you just need to place the dinput8.dll file next to the game’s executable.
Afterward, check the Optiscaler config file to ensure the plugins are enabled.
Here’s how the config should look:

LoadAsiPlugins=true
