I am really hope it won't eat up too much ram as vm for claude coworker does. I have found 10gb consumption on one simple request

Hey Nika, interesting topic! After Sam Altman's announcement today, I feel more careful about big tech companies that sign unrestricted military contracts. The line between "defense" and mass surveillance or autonomous weapons is too blurry for me.So yes, I'm switching most of my serious work to Claude starting this week — especially coding and reasoning tasks. Claude feels slower to "warm up" like that Reddit comment said, but once it understands my style, the answers are usually cleaner and safer.Meanwhile, I'm keeping ChatGPT for quick drafts and fun stuff.Upvoted — good discussion! 🚀

Will this work via my Visual Studio Code Claude Code or separate config needed?Interesting stuff. I personally need Claude PowerPoint ASAP

This might be one of the most practical AI integrations I’ve seen.Excel models are basically “legacy code” for finance teams. If Claude can truly reason over dependencies without breaking formulas… that’s a massive unlock.

The number of apps’ integrations Claude ships drives me crazy. I am now trying to adjust my apps setup with Claude to use everything easier and synchronize everything

excel spreadsheets have been a necessary evil of my budgeting processes for many years, I am glad to get the help to finally speed it up.

Most "AI for Excel" tools treat your spreadsheet like a text file. They rewrite cells, ignore tab dependencies, and have no idea what broke when something does. That's the gap Claude in Excel is closing. Most Excel models are inherited. Nobody built them from scratch, nobody fully understands them, and everyone's afraid to touch them.Analysts and finance teams spend enormous amounts of time not building models, but deciphering them.Tracing why a cell returns an error.Figuring out what assumption chain drives that terminal value.Testing a scenario without accidentally wrecking a linked tab.Claude in Excel is built specifically for this:Full workbook comprehension - not just the active cell, but cross-tab dependencies, formula chains, the whole thingScenario testing without breakage - update assumptions, see every downstream change with explanations, rollback safelyError tracing that actually tells you why - #REF!, #VALUE!, circular references traced to the source in secondsBuild or populate - generate a draft model from scratch, or drop fresh data into an existing template while preserving all formulasWhat's interesting about this launch is what it signals. We're moving from "AI that helps you type faster" to "AI that understands your work context."That's a different category of product.Curious for the PH community: what's the most painful part of your Excel workflow right now?
