👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
An open hardware kit for ESP32 and Raspberry Pi that lets Muse talk through real displays, mics, and sensors is a genuinely fun idea. Pocket companions and e-ink briefing displays are exactly the kind of small projects people will actually finish. Nice that it starts from parts most makers already own.
Opening up the hardware is a good move, I think. Most of the fun stuff will come from random people with a Pi and too much free time
Meta just open-sourced the hardware side of @Muse by Meta , and this looks like a lot of fun.Muse Gadgets lets you take an ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or Linux device and basically build your own physical interface for Muse — add a screen, mic, speaker, buttons, sensors, whatever you want. They've already got examples like an e-ink morning briefing display, pocket-size Muse, TV stick, and Home Assistant setup.Meta also made its own little Home Link device for connecting Muse to things around your house.Very curious to see what hardware people build with this.
