Is this search similar to when I do search at perplexity app? like decomposes the queries, generates the fanout queries or just searches for given queries?

Has it been tested and confirmed that the stats provided from the deep research are actually true. Most LLMs provide stats but don't provide accurate URLs leading to the highlighted stat. Is that something Perplexity solves?
