- AUTONOMOUS QUANTUM HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE LIMIT From Reproducible Measurement to Bounded Autonomous Care Infrastructure Autonomous Quantum Health Infrastructure at the Limit is a large-scale research monograph exploring what happens when reproducible quantum health measurement is connected to bounded autonomous infrastructure. Its central question is not: Can AI make health decisions by itself? The deeper question is: How can a system move from physical measurement to interpretation, state estimation, decision, authorized action, verification, and recovery without losing traceability, uncertainty, human authority, or the ability to reconstruct what happened? The book couples two research lineages. The first lineage treats AI-interpreted quantum health as a metrology and reproducibility problem. AI denoising, quantum machine learning, digital twins, calibration, reference standards, manufacturing variation, versioning, data provenance, and interlaboratory reproducibility are treated as parts of one measurement chain. The second lineage treats quantum autonomous infrastructure as a bounded operational system. Its core loop is: Sense -> Interpret -> Decide -> Act -> Verify -> Recover Autonomy is therefore not defined as maximum independence. It is defined through explicit authority envelopes, stop conditions, fallback paths, human override, reversibility, runtime assurance, and recovery. The flagship three-coupling is: Measurement Traceability x Authority Envelope x Recovery Closure A central research heuristic is: AQHI = (Tm x Dq x Va x Rc) / (1 + Fa + Ul + Pb) where Tm represents measurement traceability, Dq decision quality, Va verified action, and Rc recovery capacity. The denominator penalizes false action, unpropagated uncertainty, provenance breaks, and related burdens. AQHI is not proposed as a law of nature, clinical score, medical standard, or regulatory metric. It is a research scaffold designed to force important tradeoffs into view. Across 82 chapters, the volume develops a full measurement-to-action architecture. Raw physical observation is kept separate from deterministic preprocessing, learned correction, inference, recommendation, authorization, execution, verification, and recovery. Every transformation should preserve enough provenance to allow independent replay. Every model update should preserve enough version history to distinguish physical change from calibration change, algorithmic change, policy change, and unresolved residual. Every autonomous capability should declare what it is allowed to do, what evidence it requires, when it must abstain, when it must escalate, and how it returns to a known-safe state. The book gives particular attention to uncertainty. Uncertainty is not treated as a number attached only to the final measurement. It must propagate through the entire chain. Measurement uncertainty affects state estimation. State uncertainty affects action thresholds. Action consequence affects proof burden. Irreversible actions therefore require stronger evidence than reversible ones. This produces an important principle: Autonomy should become more conservative as uncertainty and irreversibility increase. The book also develops digital twins as uncertainty-aware operational belief states rather than replicas of reality. Digital twins may support prediction, counterfactual measurement planning, and state estimation, but they must remain distinguishable from the physical system they represent. Model mismatch, residuals, out-of-distribution conditions, retirement, reset, and reinitialization are treated as first-class research problems. Failure science forms another major part of the volume. Sensor drift, model staleness, firmware regression, reference loss, manufacturing defects, communication failure, network partition, operator overload, and incorrect recommendations may occur together. The system must therefore support defense in depth. Relevant mechanisms include independent sensing, uncertainty-aware state estimation, rate limits, invariants, runtime monitors, rollback paths, classical fallback, safe states, and rehearsed human procedures. Recovery is treated as an active operating phase. Entering a safe state is not enough. The system must also know: Which state was trusted? What changed? What evidence supports restoration? Which functions can safely resume? Which unresolved failures remain? And what incident memory should change future thresholds, models, training, or design? Classical fallback is intentionally treated as a constitutional layer. Quantum capability may improve sensing, timing, optimization, or inference. But essential health infrastructure should not collapse simply because an advanced quantum service becomes unavailable. A mature system therefore identifies the minimum useful service that must remain available under degradation. Human authority is also treated as infrastructure. Human override
- In-Situ Quantum Metrology for Swarm Nano-Fabrication Quality Assurance at the Limit This exploratory research monograph investigates whether quantum-enabled and classical in-situ measurements can improve the physical verification of nano-fabricated products and multi-agent assembly processes. The proposed three-coupling is In-Situ Signal × Defect Localization × Independent Acceptance. Its central question is not whether a sensor or artificial-intelligence model can generate a persuasive quality score, but whether an independently verifiable instrument chain can correctly detect, localize, and adjudicate real defects during manufacture, at acceptable cost, uncertainty, latency, and risk.
