Gemini Executive Synthesis

Functionality and purpose of the 'Minecraft Store' button in MinecraftConsoles.

Technical Positioning
Resolving a broken UI element ('Minecraft Store' button) by either removing it or repurposing it into a functional, community-driven content marketplace or DLC management system.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue addresses a critical UI/UX defect: a non-functional 'Minecraft Store' button that displays an 'infinite spinning circle.' This broken feature creates user frustration and wastes screen real estate. The discussion reveals a strong community desire to repurpose this element into a functional, community-maintainable marketplace for downloadable content (worlds, resource packs, mods) or a DLC management system. This indicates a clear market demand for content extensibility and a centralized hub for user-generated or official add-ons. Ignoring this broken feature or failing to evolve it into a valuable content delivery mechanism represents a missed opportunity to enhance user engagement and expand the platform's ecosystem.

[Suggestion] Remove or reuse "Minecraft Store"

### Describe the solution you'd like

I would like to reuse Minecraft Store as a community-maintainable downloadable content for worlds, resource packs and mods.

Alternatively. remove "Minecraft Store" button from title screen as it doesn't work and it stuck on infinite spinning circle when you clicked on the "Minecraft Store" button.

Or better yet, reuse It for something would be a waste to get rid of it.

I think the idea is to use it for additional stuff like mods or a marketplace.

I think this is a duplicate of another issue. That issue was kind of a long winded back and forth. I think they’re gonna wait until the repo gets more established and see from there with what to do. Some want it removed, some to evolve it into custom content with a server or local files.

Hi, yes, CMake support is planned. As for Linux, it requires porting the code to SDL3.
