SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This feature request outlines a comprehensive overhaul for TREK's packing list functionality, moving beyond basic itemization to sophisticated, multi-user, and logistics-aware management. Key improvements like user-linked bags, multi-bag item allocation, and weight tracking directly address real-world travel complexities, particularly for group trips or airline restrictions. The demand for independent user checkboxes for shared items indicates a need for granular collaborative control. [FEATURE] Packing List Improvements
Bags in Packing lists should be improved:
- [ ] Renaming bags
- [ ] Bag type (backpack, suitcase, wallet,... maybe this could be customisable with custom icon support)
- [ ] Bags linked to users (so that you know which bag, belongs to which user)
- [ ] Single packing item ability to be located in multiple bags
- [ ] Bag weight (for airlines the limits are bag included. So if bag weighs 1.5 kg that would be accounted for)
- [ ] If there are two bags for example. Bag A belongs to user 1, and bag B belongs to user 2. There is an item X that is allocated to bag A and B. Now each user has an indeoendant checkbox so that each user has his own packing list. For example T-shirt is an itemcthst each user should pack for themselves in their own bag.
