Gemini Executive Synthesis

The `skills/teach` component of an AI learning system, adapted for the Hermes Agent skill system, focusing on a sophisticated AI teaching philosophy.

Technical Positioning
Open-source contribution and adaptation, seeking an MIT license for broader reuse and integration into other AI agent systems. The original system is positioned as a 'thoughtful AI teaching system' with a distinct pedagogical approach.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue reveals strong market validation for the `skills/teach` component of an AI learning system, specifically its 'teaching philosophy.' A third party successfully adapted it for their 'Hermes Agent skill system,' demonstrating its modularity and utility in diverse AI agent architectures. The request for an MIT license underscores the industry's desire for permissive open-source components to accelerate development and foster ecosystem growth around advanced AI capabilities. The absence of a license initially restricts adoption, highlighting a common friction point for developers seeking to build upon innovative AI solutions. This indicates a clear demand for well-defined licensing models that facilitate integration and commercialization of specialized AI modules, particularly those demonstrating superior pedagogical approaches and proven adaptability.

Request: permission to publish an adapted derivative of skills/teach under MIT

Hi! We really admire the `skills/teach` in this repo — the teaching philosophy (unconditional truths first, "how could I have discovered this?", the edge-bracketing probe, the quiz-option construction procedure) is the most thoughtful AI teaching system we've seen.

We've built a Chinese adaptation of it for the Hermes Agent skill system (tool calls mapped to Hermes equivalents: quiz → conversational quiz protocol, ask_user_question → clarify, researcher subagent → delegate_task). It works great.

We would like to publish this adapted version in our public, MIT-licensed skills repo: github.com/xl188/XLSkills (with clear attribution to you and a link back to this repository).

Since this repo currently has no LICENSE file (which under GitHub defaults means all-rights-reserved), we'd like to ask:

1. May we release our adapted version of skills/teach under MIT (with attribution)?
2. If yes, would you also like us to mention you as the original author and link to this repo? (We will, regardless.)
3. On a side note, if you'd like, you could consider adding a LICENSE to this repo — it's a great project and it would make it easier for others to reuse it lawfully.

If you'd prefer a different arrangement (e.g. you only allow non-commercial use, or you'd like to license it yourself), just tell us and we'll follow your preference.

Thanks for building this! — xl188
