Gemini Executive Synthesis

PDF rendering fidelity, specifically for non-ASCII text in document outlines/bookmarks.

Technical Positioning
Accurate display of PDF content across character sets, matching Adobe Acrobat's rendering.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This printcraft bug, where non-ASCII (CJK) PDF bookmark titles render as mojibake, indicates a fundamental character encoding or rendering defect. The fact that Adobe Acrobat Reader and other viewers correctly display these titles confirms printcraft's specific failure. For a product aiming to replace Acrobat, accurate display of internationalized content is non-negotiable. This issue severely impacts usability for global users and documents, signaling a lack of maturity in handling diverse text encodings. The market implication is a significant barrier to adoption in non-English speaking markets and for any professional workflow involving multi-language PDF documents.

[Bug] Outline/bookmark titles render as mojibake for non-ASCII (CJK) text

### Describe the bug
Non-ASCII characters in PDF outline (bookmark) titles are displayed as mojibake in the
Bookmarks pane. ASCII-only titles display correctly.

In Edge:

### Environment
- PrintCraft version: latest
- OS: Windows
- Install method: MSI
- Build: official release binary

### Steps to reproduce
1. Open the attached PDF in PrintCraft.
2. Show the Bookmarks pane.
3. Observe the outline titles.

### Expected behaviour
Bookmark titles should match what other readers show, e.g.:
`第一章 概述` / `1. Einführung` / `設備仕様`

### Actual behaviour
Titles are garbled, e.g.:
`Ò»Õ 概述` / `1. Einführung` /

### Cross-check (important)
The same file renders correctly in:
- [x] Adobe Acrobat Reader
- [x] Chrome / Edge built-in viewer

If it is also broken in those, the PDF itself may carry a malformed /Title; if it is
correct there and only wrong in PrintCraft, it is a PrintCraft decoding bug.
