Gemini Executive Synthesis
Chart manipulation and resizing functionality, both via direct interaction (sizing handles) and UI controls (Format Chart Area).
Technical Positioning
Standard and expected chart editing capabilities found in modern spreadsheet applications, allowing users full control over chart presentation.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
The inability to resize charts, either interactively or through explicit UI controls, is a critical functional deficiency for GridCraft. Charts are fundamental for data visualization and communication, and their presentation often requires precise sizing. This limitation renders charts inflexible and significantly hinders users' ability to create professional-looking reports or dashboards. The lack of visual feedback on sizing handles and the forced static dimensions in the 'Format Chart Area' indicate a severe gap in chart object manipulation. This directly impacts GridCraft's viability as an 'Excel-style' alternative for data presentation, limiting its market appeal for users requiring customizable visual output.

Unable to resize charts
When trying to resize my charts in Gridcraft I noticed that it is impossible to change their size either by dragging the sizing handles or by trying to directly change the size inside of the "Format Chart Area" tab. If you mouse over the sizing handles nothing happens with the cursor to even show that resizing would be possible.
If you try to manually change the height or width in the Format Chart Area it will not let you type in your own value, just forcefully keep it Width: 480 Height: 288.
