Gemini Executive Synthesis
Internationalization (I18n) for complex scripts, specifically Persian (Farsi) font support, Right-to-Left (RTL) text rendering, and custom font import.
Technical Positioning
Comprehensive text rendering capabilities for global markets, including support for complex scripts and user-defined fonts.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This issue exposes a critical internationalization gap for CADCraft: the lack of support for complex scripts like Persian (Farsi) and Right-to-Left (RTL) text rendering. This is not merely a font display issue; it involves intricate text shaping and bidirectional text algorithms. Failure to support these features renders the application unusable for a significant global user base, particularly in regions where such languages are primary. The inability to import custom fonts further exacerbates this problem. This limitation directly impedes market expansion into non-Latin script regions, indicating a need for fundamental text rendering engine enhancements to achieve true global market relevance.

Add Support for Persian (Farsi) Fonts and RTL Text
Hi,
I've noticed that Catcraft doesn't properly support Persian (Farsi) fonts, which makes it difficult to work with Persian text.
It would be great if you could add support for Persian fonts and right-to-left (RTL) text rendering.
Specifically, I'd like to request:
- Support for Persian (Farsi) fonts.
- The ability to import and use custom fonts (such as .ttf and .otf files).
- Proper right-to-left (RTL) text rendering.
- Correct display and shaping of connected Persian characters.
Is there currently a way to install or import custom fonts into Catcraft? If so, I'd appreciate some guidance.
Thank you for your hard work on this project!
