SaaS Insight & Market Implications
This feedback exposes significant deficiencies in LearnHarness's core AI-driven learning capabilities. Inconsistent proof styles and variable definitions directly undermine pedagogical clarity, a critical requirement for educational SaaS. The system's failure to adhere to user-specified course progression, instead defaulting to inefficient, chapter-by-chapter quizzing, incurs unnecessary costs and time. This indicates a lack of sophisticated prompt engineering or dynamic curriculum adaptation. Furthermore, insufficient question granularity for complex topics highlights a fundamental flaw in content generation depth. For a B2B SaaS in education, these issues translate to poor user experience, wasted resources, and a failure to deliver on the promise of effective, personalized learning, risking user churn and reputational damage.

mathematical analysis 1

I've spent the last while having it run me through the entirety of Rudin's principles of mathematical analysis with quizzes, then each question in detail. Very nostalgic as a maths teacher. Bravo on this app man.

I will be posting issues here as I run the course through completion. So far, I have noticed that (which are small issues from a learner's perspective):

25th October 2026
- Specific stylistic choices with proofs means some of the writing isn't consistent (I am using DeepSeek). For example, construction-based writing is preferred for me and students, but one style isn't preferred over the other, making some of the multiple-choice questions difficult to parse. As a specific example, it might use x in X in some continuinity statement, but it will define x at the end of the statement, which isn't OK.
- I can tell the program I want the entirety of the course (it knows what it is), but it will still quiz me on each topic one by one before making a graph outline like I asked it to in the first message. This cost me about 12 cents and time, and it also made some dangerous assumptions about things when I would guess the answer but still get it right. One question per chapter is too broad, especially in Rudin's book. A longer proping session (or making it adjustable length) would be good for this (some chapters have about 40 definitions, but the questions themselves per chapter would use 3-4 of them).

I'll update this as I go.

Kind regards,

Jon
