sol-loop agent's reasoningEffort setting for gpt-6.1-sol model in review tasks.

Technical Positioning
Configurable agent reasoning quality; explicit control over model parameters during task delegation; consistent performance across different agent providers.
SaaS Insight & Market Implications
The sol-loop agent's failure to explicitly set reasoningEffort for gpt-6.1-sol results in default 'low' quality reviews, impacting the effectiveness of automated code analysis. This issue highlights a critical gap in agent configuration: the lack of explicit parameter passing during delegate_task and the absence of inherited options across different provider instances. Developers are forced into manual workarounds, indicating a significant pain point in achieving consistent, high-quality agent performance. For B2B SaaS, this underscores the demand for agent orchestration platforms that provide granular, declarative control over model parameters and robust inheritance mechanisms, ensuring that delegated tasks execute with the intended quality and efficiency.

sol-loop: Sol reviews run at the model's default effort (low for gpt-6.1-sol)

sol-loop never sets a reasoning effort, so when it runs from a non-Codex agent in T3, Sol reviews at the model's catalog default. For `gpt-6.1-sol` that default is `low`.

What I verified, running sol-loop from Claude Code inside T3:

- `orchestrator_capabilities` lists `gpt-6.1-sol` with `reasoningEffort` default `low` (`gpt-6-sol` defaults to `medium`).
- T3 only inherits options for the same provider instance and model, so a Claude parent's effort doesn't carry over to the Codex child.
- Step 2 of `skills/sol-loop/SKILL.md` says to "record provider, model, and effort only if exposed" but never says to set one, so `delegate_task` goes out without `target.options`.

Question: is `low` intended for review rounds? It might be on purpose: narrow diff, several rounds, no hardcoded IDs. If it isn't, step 2 could add something like: "If the chosen Sol exposes a reasoning effort, pass `high` (or the effort the user asked for)." That keeps the no-hardcoded-ID rule.

Workaround in the meantime: a line in your global agent instructions telling the agent to pass `reasoningEffort: "high"` when sol-loop delegates.
