My gut health and weight loss journey has been made extremely easy by the use of this app. I have been logging now for about a month and I went from 189-180 lbs. It is extremely quick and easy to log foods and your macros consistently change weekly due to their adjusting programs
I hope that in the future, they add an AI chatbot that can talk you through your meals, diet plans, and fitness journey in general.
Lastly, I cannot figure out a way to connect my apple fitness app with macrofactor. I am sure it’s possible but I just cannot find the link.

Got the bundle for a year, i like the app but for the price i did expect it to have some more features like food recommendations based based on how we are missing our macros. Like im never hitting my daily fat intake so it wouldve been cool of the “ai” suggested a shopping list of what i could/ should consider eating, based on the food that I log and the macro/micro nutrients im low on.

I’ve tried a few different food tracking apps while on my weight loss journey. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t want to spend more money on an app that I would stop using. So glad I decided to get this app. It’s a night and day difference between using MacroFactor and the other apps I used. A lot of foods are already in the database and the ability to get an AI estimate has helped multiple times.

Fantastic app Nothing compares to this app in terms of macro tracking, but my I suggest adding in a fasting feature

I’m annoyed I paid for a year of this ahead of time. Works fine for food logging, but you can do that with any of the free apps. My issue is with the supposed “coaching”. Basically all it does is lower your calories each week if you’re not losing weight fast enough. It tried to tell me I couldn’t lose 10 pounds in 4 months without going below 800 calories a day. Telling someone to starve themselves is not helpful or ethical. If you’re a 25 year old who’s never heard of counting calories, you’ll probably find value in it. But if your physiology is a little more complicated, this isn’t going to do it for you. Save your money and just use a free tracker.

spend 5 to 10 minutes curating and crafting your own profile just to be met with a paywall, and then just sell off all my information when I delete the app

Pros: reads barcodes quickly, doesn’t crash my old phone with processing power or rewrite excellent web reception to work in a reasonable time frame.
Cons: as I’m coming into my weight loss goal it is aggressively trying to drop my calories beyond realistic deficits for TDEE at my weight for any activity level and I’m being pretty active.
It’s hard enough not to rage quit every time the scale doesn’t drop. It’s harder to not even be able to tell the app your weight because it’s going to overreact. At this point the app is not helping me with strategy.
I think there should be an override mode that lets you set the rate and calorie target and just tracks the change vs projection especially nearing the target since weight signal to noise is so low right now.
Another upgrade I would want to see is the ability to run in a mode with no target weight, just a calculated calorie expenditure estimate based on weight and consumption that lets you see whether you are in a deficit or surplus on a day to day basis.
And finally, I like the idea of spreading calories unevenly across days but it’s not realistic for me to know when I’m going to be consuming more or less in advance. I’d like a daily target that adjusts based on a moving average of consumption over the last week so that it’s easier to conceptualize how I should adjust for the ebbs and flows of life.
Overall a good app, but the balance of automation is too simple to be useful. Either needs to be converted with AI learning for more advanced intuition for program updates or needs to become more manual to be useful in my opinion.

Scammed me for a dumb calorie amount no sane person will eat 800 calories a day unless you have anorexia (which I don’t) I think it pretty common knowledge that it’s unhealthy to eat under 1500 calories I paid 70 buck for some bs

Yeah, this is my fav macro tracker! I be building my recipes so easily for my creami, for my dupe King Burrito, my fav thing is if I make a crock pot recipe, I can add a meal to my tracker in grams and not just servings. Literally fabulous. Plus the workout app and it’s a great lil fitness cocktail.

This app is marketed as a next level calorie tracker to lose weight. However, the interface is not user friendly at all. It is extremely hard to find your overview of macronutrients for the day, and there’s no tracker for micronutrients that I saw. It also has a terrible database for tracking foods, I couldn’t even find a standard 150 calorie pre-packaged rice krispy treat! The free version of My Fitness Pal is 10x better than this app. Also, it put me at an 800kcal deficit to lose 1 lb a week?! That’s extreme, not sustainable, and dangerous!

I have been using MacroFactor for about 2 years now and am the fittest I have ever been in my life. After trying several different nutrition logging apps, this is the one that has worked the best for me. I highly recommend this app to anyone interested in a good high quality fitness tracker that makes tracking macros super easy.

Can i not see foods i logged last week to re log them? Why do i have to save it to my favorites

I’ve tried so many methods to lose weight.
I realized that it was really hard to lose weight if I couldn’t accurately track my calories.
MacroFactor not only tracks calories accurately, it makes tracking them so much easier!!!
There are so many statistics that it tracks just from your weight and caloric intake that you just can’t help but want to support it with the right data.
The feeling gives that accountability feeling you wish you got from a coach, but for only $72 a year!!!
Believe that!

I’ve been using MF since June 2023 and have lost over 70 lbs. Soon to reach my goal weight and will have lost over 100 lbs since then.

I’ve tried my fitness pal several times and just could not stick to it. The interface the measurements and clear analytics are helping me. Lost 28lb in 70 days so far.

Super intuitive and easy to use.

I think if you’re trying to stay on top of your calories, MacroFactor is a really helpful tool. I would love an update where it gives us different types of food or recipes to hit our nutrition goals for the day because it’s hard to sometimes hit my goals when I’m not sure what to eat.

Anything that makes me spend five minutes entering my personal data then to ask me to pay a subscription pisses me tf off
sho69607 • Mar 19, 2026
I love this app but I have one suggestion. For those of us who work night shift, it would be nice to have an option for macros to rollover after midnight instead of resetting as a new day. It makes it a little more difficult to track macros when it resets automatically.
Market Trends
Do I enter everything in MF and manually copy it to other apps? Yes. Because the two that do sync are so terrible, I can’t even. MFP feels like sketchy malware, and the other option is almost as bad. I’d rather pay and do more work for a usable, non-annoying UX.
I don’t currently use the strategy aspect (I have it elsewhere), and I *really* wish it had better integration.
