The best AI

I’m a Pro subscriber and was already signed in on my Mac and mobile with the same account, but the sync option suddenly disappeared. It feels like Perplexity is pushing people into using Comet instead of letting the regular app work properly across devices. That’s frustrating and misleading, especially when cross-device syncing used to be available. If the product is good, it shouldn’t rely on forcing users into a separate browser to keep basic functionality working.

I never thought I’d say it, cause I’ve been—and still am—a huge fan of Claude Cowork, but Perplexity Computer is even more powerful. And the speed at which it works is easily 10x that of Cowork. The only downside with PC is the pricing/subscription model—there Claude wins, hands down. So if cost is your priority, go with Claude Cowork, but if power is your priority, it’s Perplexity Computer.

I trust the developers want the assistant to be reliable, but I lost faith after a repeated bug. When I asked for “NBA games today” on April 11, 2026, the assistant kept returning schedule information for April 12 instead of April 11, even after I corrected it multiple times. It even claimed it would be more careful about the date, then made the same error again. It kept promising it would do better than next time, but kept making this mistake anyway for five or six times in a row until I just gave up.
Date‑sensitive questions are basic. If the assistant can’t get “today” right, it’s hard to trust any time‑sensitive answer. Developers, please fix the date‑handling logic and double‑check that “today” matches the actual current date before returning schedules or sports info.

The problem is, sometimes in misunderstands, or just ignores what you just said to fix it. I get it’s in development but that’s what made this 4 stars.

Eso es una aplicación que te ayuda a resolver tus problemas tanto del día día como de los problemas de información con claridad tiene datos muy específicos y verídicos

The responses are quick and cogent.

Great in depth research with good citations. Generally reliable. For more academic or technical or professional users I think.

I have tried to use this for research, and sometimes it’s good, but mostly it is awful. Its responses are condescending, rude, phrased in the negative, and sometimes downright abusive, and it’s like talking the absolute worst tech bro, you can possibly imagine. Sometimes I’m simply asking for data or verifying data that I already have, yet ever response is negative speak at best. It’s bonkers how awful the interactions are with this app. Why would they code it and give it direction to be so nasty to users?

Though each AI platform has its strengths and weaknesses perplexity is current and gives references and has definitely earned a seat at the table. It has now blown past every other consumer type chat product

Great information. Reductionist and straightforward. No BS.

Even if you sign up for the enterprise pro. You run one small task and it’s out of credits and they want you to pay more. The task was half assed and unusable. Definitely the worst of the bunch. I find paying for anthropic to be the best value

The app is buggy as all get out on macOS with the prompt input line. That is such simple stuff in programming it should be embarrassing enough for them to fix. Have constantly resize the window to have the text entry box and buttons redraw and be functional again. Screams React defect.
But what really drives me nuts is the inflection in the perplexity voices trying to build that “ghost hunter” intrigue for everything it says. It is grating!
I use perplexity day in and day out and I wish, oh how I wish that all the voices would stop with the “sneaking up on two baboons mating” narration style.

Overall, I think it is a great artificial intelligence. It finds detailed the information that you ask for and explain it to you in a way that you will understand like it adapt to your learning capability.
