Terrible app, it usually doesn’t block ads, and my webpages on safari were loading so slowly for the longest time and I couldn’t figure out why. Eventually realized that it was because of this terrible app. I genuinely don’t recommend using this if you can avoid it - there are other ways to remove ads, I promise you.

It blocks every single ad. What more do you need? It gets a higher score on Adblock tester than literally any adblocker I’ve ever tested across safari, chrome and Firefox.

Ghostery works great and doesn’t hog down you phone resource unlike other browsers, I’m a basic user and use the Adblocker feature and it’s a charm, there are many advanced features that I don’t use, it’s the best adblocker I’ve used on iOS

I have used Ghostery for years and it has been consistently reliable in filtering out ads on Safari. I have not noticed any slower speeds or broken websites. It just works!

Sometime over the last several months Ghostery just stopped working for me in Safari. Many ads and other annoyances that used to be blocked now end up loading and slow things down.

I installed it, enabled extension, updated the latest verison, allowed it on all websites including youtube… When I go to watch a youtube video on safari, there’s still ads. When I go to any website, there’s still ads… This extension might not be an actual ad blocker at all. It’s probably only a privacy extension just like duckduckgo tracker blocker, what a ripoff! I would except it to block ads but it didn’t! Switching to ublock origin lite!!

I like Ghostery. It is the only ad blocker that genuinely protects my i phone. There is only one downside. I periodically need to delete it from my iphone15 pro because it overheats the phone. I put it back on the phone once the overheating subsides.
