Hi Product Hunt 👋

I'm Milan from Zurich. Every Mac has a great camera, but there has never been a simple app to just take a good photo with it. Photo Booth is for fun, FaceTime is for calls. So I built the camera app I think Apple would have shipped.

What MacCam does:
📸 Photo & video in one click (or Space), with pause and resume
📱 Mac camera, iPhone via Continuity Camera or any USB webcam
✨ The classic Photo Booth effects - plus macOS Portrait, Studio Light and Edge Light built in
🎨 Photographic Styles you can tune by contrast, warmth and tint while you shoot
🖼️ Everything lands in Apple Photos, so iCloud puts it on your iPhone a moment later
🔒 The picture never leaves your Mac

It's free. The first 100,000 people also get a lifetime Pro license - Pro will add a teleprompter that scrolls with your voice, eye-contact correction and knock to shoot (knock next to your MacBook to take a photo).

Needs macOS 15+ on Apple silicon. I'd love your feedback - what should a Mac camera app do that none does today?
