Product Positioning & Context

SATURN CALENDAR - THE CALENDAR FOR YOU & FRIENDS
Saturn is a calendar for you and the people who matter most. Other calendars were designed for your work life. Saturn is different. It's built around your friends, your family, and your plans.

YOUR CALENDAR
• See your day at a glance — events, to-dos, and what's coming up, all in one screen.
• Connect Google Calendar so everything stays in sync.

JUST SAY IT
• Type or say "Dinner with Dylan on Tuesday at 7" and it's on the calendar.
• Add events, to-dos, and reminders using text or voice.
• We help figure out the details and get invites out so you can go from idea to event faster.

COMPARE CALENDARS
• See when your friends and family are free — without their email.
• No more texting "when are you free?" Just look.
• Find overlapping availability and make a plan in seconds.

SHARED CALENDARS
• Create a shared calendar for a trip, a household, a rec league — anything.
• Add events, invite people, and keep everyone on the same page.
• One shared source of truth, no group chat required.

THE CALENDAR FOR SNAPCHATTERS
• Connect your Snap and your friends, birthdays, and Bitmojis are already here.
• Snapchat and Saturn are better together.

THE CALENDAR FOR STUDENTS
• Rotating periods, block schedules, A/B days, lunch waves, advisory, flex blocks — Saturn handles your school's format automatically.
• Already in over 20,000 US high schools, so your bell schedule could be ready to go.
• Bring it to college — Saturn grows with you from your first semester through graduation.

My school mates and I really only used the app at the end of summer when our class schedules came out. It has been a great tool for identifying the people in your classes before the school year begins (I don’t find myself needing to use any of its other features, so I can’t speak much about them). However, their recent privacy update changes this completely. It now requires you to be friends with your classmates [in the app] before you can see if they are in your class. In other words, whereas before you could click on your class to see others who were enrolled, it now only tells you which friend is in that class, and not the other classmates. It will tell you that you have “(6) other classmates” —but I’m not sure how that’s helpful.

This aspect is kind of backwards to me because who would I know to add as a friend to see if we’re in the same class lol? I understand that it’s not a big deal to some, but I found the app very helpful especially since my main school platform doesn’t release our actual courses via canvas/Schoology/Google Classroom until the very first day of school. So in a way, this app was a fun way to sneak peak into the school year, get a chance to reconnect with people you may have lost contact with over the summer, and familiarize yourself with [the names] of classmates.

My suggestion: The app already has a privacy setting —in which users can toggle on/off— to allow only your added friends to see your full class schedule, as opposed to anyone that views your profile, which I think is very helpful, and a great way to maintain privacy. I believe the privacy they’re attempting to protect with this new update should follow the same opt-in restriction so that those who are actually curious about their classmates can tell who they are, and those who prefer the privacy can have said privacy.

The whole point of Saturn is to be able to see everyone who is in your class. Now, they just have it set to only seeing which friends you have added?? How am I supposed to add the people in my classes if I don’t even know who they are? The app is absolutely useless now, defeating the whole purpose of allowing kids to see other students who are in their classes.

I don't like this app anymore because last year it showed me anyone who was in my class, but now I can only see my friends. The point of this is to see everyone not just friends so we know who's in the class without asking every person.

is there a way you can develop the option for homeschooling? otherwise i can’t use it… i dont know how important it is to fill in your school so unless its a game changer to have the right school than im faking schools

I used to love the old version and now I can’t even add my classes. And I don’t even get to see Ringo anymore.
Angrykid.0 • Aug 14, 2026
The point of this app was to see who was in your class and now you can’t see who is in your class unless you’re friends with them. And on top of that, when you friend someone, it sends them a DM on Snapchat and it’s really embarrassing after you realize you’ve just DMed 20 people

There is no point getting this app anymore 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️, you can’t even see who’s in your class other than friends which was THE LITERAL MAIN POINT of this app. I got this app 2 years ago in my freshman year, as many people were using it to see who was in their classes. During my freshman and sophmore year, it was pretty helpful, as I was able to connect with fellow students that were in my classes. But now that I can’t do that anymore, I might as well just delete it atp… please fix this 🫩🫩🫩 💔💔💔

It keeps saying that I will send me a message once my school is added. I’ve been trying for a whole year and it still has not been added. Very disappointing. My friends are trying to add it too, but still no don’t recommend.
sadness445673 • Aug 14, 2026
The point of the app is to see who’s in your class, and they took that feature away and made it into “you can only see your friends schedule”.
Please fix this

I tried talking to agents and none of them were able to let me use the 21 mod flex mod schedule. back to calendar
JaNyla1 • Aug 14, 2026
The app overall is good. I like that it can tell you what time you get out of class and offers other things as well that are helpful but something that I noticed from using this app for a long time as you can’t see who’s in your class if you’re not friends with them, this is not a good update at all I understand but we all are going to the same class and I would wanna know who’s in my class so I can have a better understanding what the environment might be like and I can’t even see it. Pleasee can you bring back that feature?
Rmitye • Aug 13, 2026
Bro can u pls add my school? It’s been 3 years that I’ve been asking.
snowy madoka! • Aug 12, 2026
I think Saturn is kinda pointless now considering the fact that you can’t see who’s in your class unless you add them as a friend, I feel like this should be a setting instead because I bet theres a lot of complaints about this new update
batman3480 • Aug 12, 2026
the new update where you can’t see who is in your class unless you friend them is so annoying. the point of this app is to see who you share a schedule with, taking that feature away totally defeats the purpose of this app. please fix this.
John dean mackentosh • Aug 12, 2026
If you have to add people just to see if they’re in your class what purpose does the app serve then?Whats stopping you from just asking them on your own what the hell is the point of the app? Dumbest change they could’ve done.
