this is HORRIBLE! you can’t save your progect without paying, you can only test it 10 times, and it is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo confusing!!!! I hate it and will
NOT get it back EVER!

I would like to be able to change the Swift version to a newer version without needing to pay could be a good idea or just limited options instead of one maybe 2 or more maybe add a way to import a project online maybe cache when you click the x on “premium” so it doesn’t show up every time you open the app

TLDR: This app is for people who want to work on CLI related apps or to refine standard swift logic on the go who don’t need Apple native APIs.

This will be a honest review but if anyone sees this, no this app doesn’t have SwiftUI or any Apple native APIs. The developer can’t do anything about it since it’s Apples proprietary libraries and iOS apps are sandboxed so you can’t read files outside the app.

This app is also always online (at least to run code) since the developer has to work around it and it runs the swift code on a linux server. So if you are going to do networking then you have to import FoundationNetworking like on Linux.

Overall impressive app for the limitations work around. The best use cases for this is logic on the go granted I did have some issues related to JSON parsing. Specifically:

32:1: error: invalid character in source file
let jsonData = json.data(using: .utf8)!

I would say if you are planning on creating a CLI app or just want to refine logic on the go. Then this app is for you.

I’ll will come back to update my review. I’m just disappointed in not being able to use Date, or Calendar as types.

The introduction of the app is incomplete and does not support SwiftUI. The screenshot is misleading, making people think that you can use the latest Swift 5.8.1 after purchasing the App, but only Swift 5.1 is supported after purchase. The logic of software charging is extremely unreasonable. As a paid software, editing and exporting should be the most basic functions of a complete App. It is understandable to provide subscriptions for value-added services, but it is unacceptable to take basic export services as part of subscription services. The worst thing is to refuse a refund.

I was looking for a simple compiler to practice writing in swift code. And this app delivers! thanks team!

Great app, would pay for it if I could see what font pack I'm getting or the ability to import my own fonts since I have favorites like hachi Maru pop , I would also pay extra if I were able to call basic modules like swiftUI since I'm a swift designer. , overall it has potential , for now I'll just do the free version
