Very poor graphics. Full of unnecessary alarms that you can’t disable.
I'm traveling internationally and brought a Libre and Dexcom with me. Downloaded Libre app and used the sensor without issues. 2 weeks later, tried dexcom, but you can't use it unless you download it in the US! Now I'll be without CGM for the next few days because of this geofencing on the app. Bye bye Dexcom, I'm a Libre person from now on.
This app makes me want to go back to finger pricks. It’s incredibly expensive. The app isn’t accurate for our son. We have to fingerpick just as much as we did before he was on Dexcom. The alerts cause our son to get scared, but you cannot turn them off. Even if they are active on the monitor app. Our next apt, we’re finding a new cgm.
Update: Dexcom reached out to me asking me to contact them, but the urls don’t work, and they make it more difficult to actually contact them then it is to finger prick. There should be an option of less than 0.

Horrible! The watch and phone app aren’t synced as advertised. The snooze function doesn’t work at all. I’d give them a lower rating, but the scale doesn’t go low enough. Their support promises call backs and never calls.
I hate this app. I get a notification about a low BG. I acknowledge the alert in the app. 10 seconds later I get the same alert and have to acknowledge again. Repeat ad nauseam. Get your $#!t together, Dexcom.
This app is plagued with simple things that completely ruin user experience. These include but are not limited to:
- When there is a server outage, a pop up prompt notification comes up telling you this. You can only click “OK” or “Retry” and this prompt reappears every time you switch tabs. What is the point of this?
- App straight up can not be used when phone is low on storage
- App caches data and doesn’t delete it until you delete the app
- Physically can not use app without critical alerts turned on
- When blood sugar is high, and you open the app, a prompt comes up that you have to acknowledge before you’re allowed to do anything else on the app.
- Sometimes when the above mentioned prompt comes up, it doesn’t come up right away, so it pulls you out of a different screen such as insulin where you may already have data typed in.
- if your device storage is low, you get sent a critical notification every five minutes that doesn’t go away by itself and is unsilencable…

It seems as if every other 10 day sensor I have is faulty. I’ve had to replace two in the last 24 hours and frankly speaking I spend way too much money on this product for it to not work.
I’ve been using the G7 for over 2 years. Having access to near real time glucose readings is super helpful for managing diabetes. However, there are always issues, which Dexcom does not address.
The latest one is that critical alerts on my iPhone get displayed as persistent, versus how I have them set (temporary). So annoying that I have to flick the alert off my screen. If I don’t, it blocks other notifications. This started over a month ago and despite calling tech support nothing has been done to put this back the way it was!
Other constant issues:
1) Sensors falling off before 10 days.
2) Inaccurate readings, requiring frequent calibrations.
3) When you stop a sensor, you still get prompted to re pair that same sensor! Annoying when you are trying to install a new sensor.
4) Direct to iWatch is very glitchy! It only works for me about 25% of the time!
5) Frequent lost sensor signal notifications, even when phone and watch are within 2 or 3 feet.
I’m about to switch to the Free Style Libre product and see if they have done a better job on the product and software execution.

App is horrible. Constant issues, disobeys notifications, incorrect error messages or no connection on the watch app. Wish I could rate 0 stars
When wearing headphones, critical alerts blast at full volume. Ear damaging level for sure (I’m an audio engineer so I’d know.)
Also, I have my headphones connected to my phone and laptop- after the critical alert sounded it started playback on a video in a different tab. Very strange.

The developers keep making this app less user-friendly. Every time they change something it gets more annoying. It used to be that alerts were customizable but now they’re all listed as critical and continue to vibrate the phone until you unlock the phone and acknowledge them. Not all alerts are critical! The app also refuses to accept calibrations when sensors need significant adjustment. You need to undo all of the changes you’ve made in the past year dnd fix the calibration issue.
I got diabetes in February 2025 and my diabetes has improved so much over the years! this is the best diabetes app ever had! when I got my pump the app connected right to it. It’s awesome I would recommend it!!
Why does the notifications keep going off when your in a 12 hour grace period?
Why don’t it just send out a notification a few hours reminding to replace like it does when it say when we have 24 hours to expire that’s makes my family turn notifications off to stop the loud ringing. Then they don’t get the notifications if I’m really in need of help

I have had this for 2 days now to help me monitor my glucose level especially at night and early morning because I experience light headedness. At least 4 times a day the connection is lost. I turn off my Bluetooth then on again and sometimes it connects. Is the unit defective?
