Community Voice & Feedback
I would love to see this updated to be a true remote for the Music App.
All too frequently I need to login to the network with iTunes for Home Sharing
I use my old Mac as a media player plugged in to my stereo system, and this app bypasses the need for a display to play Apple Music.
I have always loved this app for two main reasons. Adjusting AirPlay speakers throughout my house AND rating songs to build playlists. Let’s bring this back to the Watch as it used to be. Easy feature
It’s great to be able to control the music playing on my large library on my Mac from my phone. But a fair few of the controls don’t work reliably or are hard to find in long-press menus. Want to listen to a whole album by a particular artist? It doesn’t seem to work from artist view, only album view. And sometimes “Add to Up Next” just refuses to work (maybe this is a problem in Music.app?).
Works but would be cool if I could add songs to my playlist
This app has been great for years recently as in like the last month or so I am unable to add songs to the queue via the app. Please fix.
Just almost controls music play at the most basic level on a computer from your phone. As long as all you want is one song to play and then completely fail to ever advance to the next song it works brilliantly. The one work around is putting it into shuffle mode. Not that the shuffle icon gives you even the tiniest little feedback other than that you get the joy of more than a single song playing at a time So very elegant in its unhelpful simplicity.
The play next feature is no longer working.
I want lossless audio and Apple makes it unnecessarily difficult. I ended up replacing my Apple TV, which supports complete control of Apple Music with my iPhone, with a Mac Mini, USB s/pdif DAC and this crippled iTunes remote. I only have access to my local library, no streaming unless I use the Mac’s keyboard and mouse. Suboptimal at best. Way to go, Apple.
It’s functional but Spotify makes it a lot easier.
Unfortunately the play next and play later functionality has been broken in the remote app. I hope they are able to fix this.
Amazing app that needs some programming updating to be a serious music ecosystem. It lets you control music from iTunes from your phone, and we play music from a Mac mini connected to a stereo and three HomePods and even a 2003 AirPort Express. It has been around for years, and is very bare bones, and has regular connectivity issues. I don’t want feature bloat, but it is too bare bones. Appreciate the work keeping it current with OS updates, but…you know ;)
Catalina broke this. Can’t add music to up next and so many other problems. Please update this Apple.
It should be Music Remote since Apple rebranded iTunes
