Fantastic app to track stars and other objects in the heavens. Constellations, comets, satellites, planets all easily identified in the sky just by pointing your device in the direction you prefer.
Begs for subscriptions so often. Hard to use and visuals are distracting. Many "features" or "modes" can only be exited by force quitting the app and restarting. But now it has AI! 🤣Thankfully I had cancelled my subscription quite awhile ago when it was good but money was tight. The bloat, subscription pandering, and AI farce makes deleting the remaining skeleton app an easy decision. So long and thanks for all the fish.
No settings on Apple TV. Cannot turn off the horrible background music. Makes it unusable for me even though it otherwise looks remarkable.

Developer's response is meaningless. I emailed months ago. If dev does not want to address the feedback, its their prerogative. It is also mine to note the deficiency in the app - one that has persisted for years now.

Love using the Night Sky to look at the stars in the planets
Excellent and intuitive interface for stargazing. I like the animations and descriptions of the constellations.

I ain't paying no damn subscription just to zoom in on the Andromeda Galaxy.
This was a wonderful app when it was working! However, ever since they updated it for liquid glass / ios26 support, it seems to be no longer working on iOS 18. Whenever I start the app I am greeted only with a black screen and a nonfunctional app.
Not worth using. Generative AI is a plague on humanity and on Planet Earth. No individual nor corporation who claims to care about or promote the natural world should use generative AI at the same time, because they cannot both be true.
