Such a joy to use something that’s simple and well-built. Very enjoyable experience!

I’m a fan of this app and want to leave a five ⭐️ review…

About 6 years ago I paid for the lifetime subscription for this app and Blog Touch for WordPress. Drifted away from Blogger about the same time the developer took a hiatus from active support.

Just back from a road trip where I used Chrome for iPadOS and iOS for my travelblog. Clunky and slow.

I see the developer has started supporting BlogTouch for Blogger (I don’t think the WordPress app is under current development) and wrote some tests drafts, which I really liked. Easy formatting, smooth integration with media like photos. However I was unable to publish or even preview a post to my travelblog.

I believe in supporting independent developers. They put a lot of time and effort into their work, however since I had already paid for what I thought was a lifetime subscription to both apps, I emailed the developer to find out if my subscription was still covered, and after a week still have not heard back.

I’m willing to consider paying for a significant upgrade (from a ‘standard’ to a ‘Pro’ version for example) however I simply want to understand the

BlogTouch is a stable, clean, reliable tool that I use to manage my blog. I find it much easier to use this tool than the Blogger web interface.

I bought the app several years ago. I paid for it. Used it. It was good. When it changed to a subscription based service. I feel that I’m supposed to pay for something that I already bought.

I paid for this app some time ago then got the new version of the app (since the old version was no longer allowing me to post) and found out to use it I have to pay a subscription fee. While I liked the old version of this app, the new one is less user friendly.

Fast dev response and updates were made. I’ve been using Blog Touch for many years and hope to see the app improve with more features and updates.
exda4ap • Sep 18, 2025
What a shock. I’ve used this app for years and now it wants me to buy a subscription after paying for it when I first started using it?
It was easier to remove the app from my iPhone and iPad.
XweAponX • Sep 17, 2025
But the new version removed my premium purchase from before
ratboybyron • Aug 13, 2025
Promised: Offline blog editing with subsequent uploading when internet available. Delivered: An error saying “The requested feed is deprecated.” $10 I’ll never get back.

Photos will seem to work, but eventually fail will a 403 Forbidden error. Just search for “BlogTouch 403” to see posts about it at the Google forums.

In a reply by the developer, he puts the blame on Google Drive, but there’s no alternative in the app for photo storage. So the app is a ticking time bomb.

I now have to edit dozens of posts to reinsert the images. Don’t make the same mistake I did!

Has a bug that loses your photos because of a lazy hack that stores them in a temporary file, apparently. Google won’t fix, developer refuses to acknowledge or fix, and you are stuck. I painstakingly restored all of my photos that the app had lost, only to find them gone AGAIN after a couple of months. Totally devastating.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I’ve used the app for a few years and have been happy with it until this year. For the second time, several weeks of photos on post have disappeared and cannot be recovered. I will no longer use the app and recommended against anyone using it if you care about the photos.

Update 11/30/2023 I located my pictures. I posted to the blog several times a month and so far have a year’s worth of pictures that need to be uploaded. I’m very concerned that more pictures will continue to disappear from my postings, going back three more years.
Butrflyleelee • Nov 19, 2023
I had this app for years and it worked great up until recently. I started having pictures disappear from my blog after making a post. I kept having to reload the pics. Google blamed this app and when I contacted the app contact they blamed google. So I had to make a decision hoping it was the right one. I deleted the app and the problem I was having stopped occurring. Sad part is that I’m back to doing my posts from my computer now. I really did like the convenience of this app but the hassle of photos deleting all the time just wasn’t worth it in the end for me😞.

This app has worked for years. Now when I make a new post, the pictures show up for a little while and then disappear. My pictures have disappeared for my past 20 posts!!
