I got this app and pay the $15 for the year because it seemed like the best deal. I wanted this to give to men on dating app so I didn’t have to give my real phone number. I tested it out by texting myself and it does pop up as a green text not a blue, which is the first red flag but more importantly if you try to send a photo it sends the person a link and tells them that you’re using the Dingtone app. I wanted something that didn’t let these people know. I was using a third-party app and made it seem like it was my actual phone number.This is not it.
the app works just fine, sound quality is fantastic and the support team works hard to solve the problem for us. Highly recommend.
Do I need to pay or is everything free.??
SMS sent from dingtone number are undelivered both domesticallu and internationally. No response from customer service after submitting report online. Error/warning message pops up when trying to report the issue in-app and prevents submission.
I signed up for this paid the price for the subscription, got a phone number, sent test text message to myself and it didn't go through. I checked my credits and it looks like I was charged for it. I reported it to help and support but I haven't heard anything back yet. So, as far as I know, it looks like I'm paying $14.99 a year for nothing. This app is worthless. It doesn't work if I don't hear back from them in 24 hours, I'm just going to ask for a refund completely worthless...
Purchase so I can have a Swedish number but it’s dials out as an UK number, good luck getting in touch w support.
You pay a monthly subscription and yet the app is always out of credits. Then you watch advertisements to get “free credits” but instead you find yourself stuck,since the button to close the advertisement does not work. That is, they waste your time making you watch ads, collect your money, and leave. Absolute scam.

I have a number with Dingtone and expired despite have a subscription, and now I’m being charged for the last six months for a subscription that I don’t have anymore and I tried to get the number back and it says I can’t this is infuriating as anyone trying to message me in America can’t anymore
Never sent any text messages. Waste of money.
It claims 839 is not a valid area code. It is. And it is mine. A request for a refund was denied by Apple even though I could never even log in to the service to make an account. I contacted them and after several emails back and forth I received a complex "solution" that wasn't worth my time or effort when all I did was make the mistake of doing business with them. You're thieves. No matter how much you keep complaining to have this taken down I will keep reposting.
Here’s a honest review from a platinum level Dingtone user since 2017. I use the numbers for registrations and verifications to avoid spam calls and the services to communicate with acquaintances.
The price increase of phone numbers from $4.99 to $23.99 and text charges from 0.5 credits to 3.5 Credits.
The call quality became really bad these days, i barely hear anything even on speaker. Weak signals, poor reception and a hopeless customer care.

Do not believe the “0.5 credits per text” rule, that is completely false. it is actually 3.5 credits per text and some regions are 6 credits per text.
Take note!!
1 text = 145 characters
So sending a paragraph or a long text message could cost you 20 credits or more.
Caution!!
There’s a built in glitch that sends your messages twice or multiple times, if you mistakenly hit the send ➡️ button twice or multiple times. The action is usually delayed, So it’s technically designed to drain your credits.
Warning!!!
Do not buy phone numbers with Apple subscription because they charge the equivalent amount in credit yearly and you end up paying twice.

It is charging my money heavily without having any calls so I don’t like it. Please I want to know how can I get my money back.
This app has to be one of the most unreliable and expensive app.. I paid for subscription and still pay to make calls.. and you can’t even give me a good connection to receive and make calls.. I have been trying to make call for some hours now and it keep saying server unavailable try again later I could not even receive text or send text out that how bad it is.. and they have zero customer care service no number to call only twitter and they don’t even response.. emailed them and no response also.. logout my digntone account and tried to login back but it won’t work or even send code to my email to login.. so frustrating y’all just take people money and offer mid and unreliable service…
