I wanted a Linux terminal that I could buy in my age range but apparently I’m “too young and don’t don’t know how to operate Linux” so I found this to kill time on my vacation, but it’s like 30$ to be able to make a server or do anything. I guess I’ll wait out the vacation so I could play on my raspberry pi or luckfox mini a rather than spend double the price. Even Linux is free but this is the ‘app store’ or ‘launcher’ to one app which is either a subscription or 20+$. Or you can skip everything and get something else (it’s for your money and sanity) for some reason, all of the 5 star ratings are like the same formality as the developer but shorter or longer
Great!
I might pay for the convenience of a terminal app, but when literally every function of your app is locked behind the “optional“ pro subscription, your app is not free and you instantly lose my trust. What’s even worse? The developer prompts you to rate the app during onboarding. Of course no one is going to do that, but saying no puts the rating pop-up on cool down and makes it harder to leave a rating once you realize you’ve been lied to.
Зачем отнимать мое врем на скачивание этого приложения если внутри я сталкиваюсь с тем что ничего не могу сделать пока не заплачу . Хватит дурить людей !
You use to be able to just use Termux freely now you can’t do anything it bricked with paywalls and probably not even worth the money I would have paid for it even when it was free it was buggy then
Why is it that every app is useless unless you make a purchase? I will vibe code my own thank you.
It is very interesting
WHY IS IT FREE TO DOWNLOAD WHEN THE APP ITSELF IS TOTALLY PAID WITHOUT ANY FREEMIUM FEATURE… HONESTLY I DONT UNDERSTAND IT
I was looking for a thing to give me remote access to my servers through ssh when all I have is a phone, this looked perfect, it said it could do exactly that. However any button I could click aside from the settings button asked me to buy premium. I could understand adds, I could understand limited features, but when your definite feature is Terminal and SSH, I hope I could use them without paying at least a few times.
So far the app works as described. The only major red flag is the app has built in secret management without working links for both its terms of service and its privacy policy. Use at your own risk.
Used to be free now they are pos
I can’t even do anything besides make a folder without the “upgrade to termux pro” popping up. And even after that I can’t manage the folder.
Anything I do just pops up the nag screen to upgrade to pro. Can’t even connect to any servers.
