Forgot to cancel the app that have no use for and still no refund from the company. This is common mistake to forget to cancel a free trial , but when you cant even try the app without subscribing and you dont refund when they forget this is called stealing money. 100% of the other apps I forgot to cancel refunded me in the second… a good “holistic” scam
App offers you a 7 day trial but charges you a full membership fee day after you begin the trial. Disgusting practice by olive. Will never use nor recommend to anyone.
Listen everyone, it's the same as Yuka but costs tons of money it's not worth of. I wanted to switch to it hoping for clear heavy metals analysis of the products but they only have those for up to 20 products at all, plus they don't mention the actual numbers.
Besides, the subscription system seems scammy but I haven't figured it out fully yet. They give you no choice but to agree to a payment after 7 days of free trial. I tried using the app immediately and realized it's no value to me and went to cancel the subscription. My iTunes acc shows I still have the subscription for a full month from now, which I assume I will be charged for even though I don't want to. I'll have to dispute it with my bank then!
The only positive side is relatively easy-to-use app and the ingredients analysis BUT only if Yuka had never been able to do the same for free.

they said “we will never make you pay a penny on this app” then after made me pay monthy or yearly to use this app what type of bs is this😭
I’m trying to press no I’ll pass on coaching and when I do it’s trying to make me pay for the trial like stop
Don’t like that I go through a whole setup process to then get told to continue to use after free trial I need a subscription.
Why on gods green earth should I have to PAY to see what bad things are in my food that we already pay for???? It genuinely infuriates me when I try to better myself and it costs money to do so left and right.
Update after developer response: I've noticed that many people feel the dame way as I do, and the business owner seems to not care to take any feedback, only justifying their need for payment. The funny thing is that the justification is bs. "We have to make it su subscription based to keep it ad free, no brand placements.... he lacks vision to make people happy. I guarantee most people would be happy to have ads and brand placements of GOOD brands if it meant getting a free (or cheaper) app like this to help people with their diet. Its just ridiculous the responses this company gives to all the negative reviews. And also, they lie about subscription being clearly stated at the beginning of the onboarding process. The app store says in app purchases, but many apps that say that at least have free capabilities, like yuka. Its a waste of time to get people in the flow and using cheap animations to try to win people over before telling them they have to pay. Good strategy for greedy folk...
Original review: Anyone else tired of every single app being a paid subscription? It makes me sick. I sat for 30 minutes answering personalized questions just to be ushered into a paywall. Of course they offer a free trial hoping that you forget about it when the real payment comes around. Why can't they make money through ads, or a single time payment. This world makes me sick, that the only way to be healthy is to go broke.
Additionally, they ask if you have dietary restrictions, and include only a basic list. As someone with crohn's, I really wish that one of these apps cared enough to include information on foods that affect more serious conditions like ibs, crohns, celiac, etc.

Wastes your time going through a long onboarding process and then you learn you can’t use it at all without paying (or signing up for a trial that will autobill you). Deleted immediately
was going to rate it 5 stars. I thought it was going to be an amazing app until it came to the part where it’s a “free” trial but you still have to enter your credit card info to even get the trial. but how awful is it to just want your family to eat healthier and be healthier because of how food is changing and on top of everyday costs, here’s another one! ridiculous how you have to pay to see which foods are safe for us to eat. it’s a real shame to take advantage of people like this when we all have enough problems! THIS ISNT HELPING‼️
they only want your money and why do i have to pay to “eat healthy”?
I never write reviews but for Olive? Jesus, where do I start? This app has been so amazing for me and my roommate, and we were shocked how many daily staples were processed with seed oils. Now? We're slowly getting healthier and healthier. Thank you, Olive!
I would love to use the app, but it doesn’t let you bypass the “Free” week.
Wanted to try but wouldn’t allow me to go past the subscription page!
I loved the signing in process but its money
